I've been shopping with Takealot from the beginning - when they were still Take2. Although they're not always the cheapest the customer service has been second to none! I've had to return a few products, each time they've sent a replacement with no questions asked and did't even look at the faulty unit before supplying me with a replacement. Great work guys - keep it up.
I bought a TomTom watch from Momentum a few year's back but I've only gotten around to writing the review now. Basically, I bought 2 watches, one for myself and one for my wife. My wife wanted one that could play music and the description on the Momentum website for the watch said that it did so we bought it. When I got it home I took it out the box but couldn't figure out how it played the music only for me to do further research and find that it didn't actually have that function. Ok, simple, return it to them for a full refund as there was false advertising. Not quite. After months of fighting with them they still refused to give me a refund even though it was as clear as day that they were at fault. I never got that refund and I refuse to support them in any shape or form from then, either on their shop or their medical aid. Well done Momentum, no wonder Discovery is doing so well, not difficult to compete against you guys!
On two occasions in the past year I've set up appointments with these guys only for them not to pitch up and not even let me know that they wouldn't be able to make it. Then the final straw, on my way to Pietermaritzburg from Durban the other evening I overtook a Dusi Electrical van who pulled over to the left lane to let me pass. A few km further on I got stuck behind a slow moving truck that was overtaking another truck, I had nowhere to go so I slowed down waiting for the truck in my lane to finally overtake. Next thing the Dusi Electrical van came right up behind me flashing their lights. I'm not sure what they wanted me to do, veer off onto the side of the road so they could sit behind the same truck I was stuck behind? There is too much of this inconsiderate, rude behaviour on our roads and I refuse to support companies that employ people like this. The last thing I'd want is for that driver to be working in my house. Seeing the other review on this company it's clearly a trend.
