Excelltronics had a very good price for a Samsung Galaxy S24 mobile phone. As I did not know the company, I first did my homework and decided to go ahead with the purchase after reading the hellopeter reviews. And yes, I also received excellent service. I am based in Stellenbosch, placed the order after hours on Thursday, received confirmation from Mr Khan on Friday that the courier had collected the parcel. As indicated, the parcel arrived within 72 hours (excluding weekend hours), the phone was very well wrapped. I registered the phone with my Samsung account without any problems. Very happy with my purchase and the service received from Excelltronics.
I have been trying to solve a problem with a Vodacom online order for a month. Vodacom made an error by cancelling the order after delivery. They never called me to state that there was a problem and to apologize, the agents from activation and online departments never call back and I sit without a phone - but interestingly enough Vodacom is billing for a service which I have not yet received. There is no email address to which you can send complaints and phoning customer service does not solve the problem. 6 July - I place an online order for a Samsung S9 plus docking station, keyboard and J4 phone as advertised 9 July- RAM delivers the goods 10 July - I phone Vodacom to activate the new line and am told that this cannot be done as the order was cancelled - by a person, the system? So how does it happen that an order is cancelled by Vodacom after the goods are delivered - to date no answer for this. The agent I spoke to was quite rude and did not come up with a satisfactory solution to a problem so I insisted to speak to the manager (supervisor?). Thembinkosi did come up with a potential solution i.e. to ask IT department to reinstate the order, it would take 48-72 hours and he would keep me updated. 16 July - no update & no response from Vodacom, I call again and speak to Thembinkosi who has some excuses about IT not working over weekends, he would follow up. And yes, again no feedback. 20 July - I follow up again, no joy 23 July - I call Thembinkosi again, still no feedback, he seems to have absolutely no interest in resolving the matter. I request him to phone me on 24 July with an answer - it is 6 August and I am still waiting for Thembinkosi who allegedly logged a call about the problem with IT to call me back. 25 July - I call customer services to complain, they put me through to the online order department. who put me through to Wasila who dealt with my online order. She states that the only solution is to return the whole order and they would then generate a new order and resend the order to me. I cannot understand why it is necessary to return everything but I am desperate to get the matter resolved. RAM duly picks up the goods on 27 July. 1 August - I call Vodacom who tell me that it can take 5-7 days for RAM to deliver the returned goods to them - but I can see according to waybill that Vodacom already received the bills. I leave a message for Wasila to call me back (I am told she works late and will call me around 17h15. Typically Vodacom, she does not call back. 3 August - I phone Vodacom as no one ever has the courtesy to call back. I speak to Wasila, she seems to have no memory of my case and I have to explain again. She tells me that the deal has expired, she cannot place the equivalent order in the system. This is unaceeptable to me. She says she will talk to the manager. 6 August - I call Wasila as I am still waiting for feedback. Now they are waiting for docking station stock... Vodacom made the error with my order, yet nobody ever returns any calls, after 4 weeks the matter is still unresolved which just gives one message : Vodacom does not care about its customers. Is there a competent Vodacom manager out there who can please solve the problem and make things happen?
