We have received HORRIBLE service from this branch of Haval. We purchased a Steed 6 bakkie from them in February 2020 just before the lockdown started. We bought this vehicle after my son was born in February and we were looking for a reliable vehicle with a service plan and space for all the necessities we need to travel with. However after the first few months we started experiencing trouble with the DPF filter that kept throwing out a error and the vehicle started going into limp mode (almost every second day) which means that I can only drive 40km per hour . We contacted Haval and expressed our concerns and disappointment to which they replied that we bought a "long distance vehicle" and the light keeps going on due to me only driving in town (Ceres) and not driving a long enough distance for the filter to do it's work. This is absolute rubbish as I have never heard of a long distance vehicle before and IF this was really the case, then the sales agent should have informed us about that upon purchasing the vehicle as that would've been a major NO from our side seeing that we don't really drive long distances, especially with Covid around. I took the bakkie for a service in April where they replaced the DPF filter and while I was on my way back home, I didn't even get to the N1 Stop yet before the error came on again, which meant that I had to drive 40km per hour on the N1 which is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and a safety hazard not only for me and my passengers, but also other people on the road. We have contacted Haval on numerous occasions and have had to wait days on end for them to phone back after they should've already phoned. I have never been so disappointed in any company before and I wouldn't recommend buying from this branch, not only is the vehicle faulty but they have TERRIBLE service.
I have NEVER had such disappointing service from any organisation. My boyfriend ordered a gaming steering wheel from this company, only to be told 3 days AFTER paying for the product and placing his order that they DO NOT STOCK (not out of stock) the specific steering wheel that they use to advertise on the website. This is FALSE ADVERTISING people.. Now, after asking for a refund he has to wait another 7 days for his money to reflect in his bank account. This is UTTERLY pathetic and I would not ever recommend anyone to use this service.
