This is my second post regarding bad service! In September I wrote a long complaint which was addressed to a certain extent. 3 months later I'm finding myself in a similar position. Debt Rescue just fails us. I want to start the clearance process after settling all outstanding debt, but Debt Rescue messed up one account so badly I cannot receive a settlement letter.
I've had a bad experience. Ordered and payed for a digital product worth R2200 and when delivered the box contained a bag of washing powder. I logged a return and after daily phone calls and promises of escalation I have not received the product I paid for. It is a long process to get a return and I believe when Takealot makes such an error they must be quick to rectify it. Shame on you Takealot this is not good customer service at all!

Two tips of advise. 1. Make 100% sure debt counseling is the route you want to take. 2. If you have no choice, then choose any company, but Debt Rescue South Africa. The following summarizes my experience - I have not received any feedback at the time of writing this review: Hi ***, My previous mail was in Afrikaans, please let me know if I should translate it for you into English just in case clarity is needed and if it will assist it getting this issue resolved speedily. I am also referring to the fact that only half of my e-mail received feedback from you. I was hoping that you would acknowledge the fact that certain debts have been settled which should result in a reduced payment. Acknowledgment of the way forward. As my wife eluded to, common professional courtesy is acknowledging that an e-mail was received, together with stating what the intended actions are, before a follow up e-mail needs to be send. It is sad that the lacking of such professional courtesy from an individual negatively reflects on a company like Debt Rescue. Something I intend to take further on a different platform. Please also note that our engagement has only been with Debt Rescue and not *** therefore our expectation is that Debt Rescue should resolve the issue in hand. Apart from the fact that the *** settlement is problematic, the fact that my wife has been receiving daily phone calls from debt collecting lawyers is unacceptable. This is exactly the reason why we have entered into an engagement/contract with Debt Rescue – to avoid this type of harassment. In my view Debt Rescue has failed to shield my wife from debt collectors. We have been paying a monthly premium of R *** to Debt Rescue for a service that is failing us! Furthermore the payment of R *** for distribution has never been problematic on our side. *** is not an isolated incident, my wife has received the same harassment from *** in the past. I therefore demand a written apology to my wife from Debt Rescue, together stating the reason of continues harassment by debt collectors. Failure by Debt Rescue to provide the apology within 24 hours will result in negative publicity towards Debt Rescue. Thanks, ***

The problem occurs after power outages such as load shedding. Every time after the power has been restored, I am without service, i.e. 0 Mbps download or upload speed. The service interruption continues for up to 48 hours is most instances. Various calls to the call centre do not solve the issue as they just state that the can ping the router thus there must be service. Please refer to SR191218-999277 is an example. Current open SR - SR200106-023200 I cannot continue using Vodacom as my service provider unless the issue gets addressed. Failure to respond to this mail within 24 hours will lead to posting my complaint on Hellopeter.com and cancellation of my contract.
