**** company this one, Dont make any arrangement and settle with this company, rather pay your creditor directly. You will struggle getting a paid up letter. I have settled a judgement they are refusing to give me a settlement letter stating that specific judgement has been paid, they say i must get my own attorney to do.

I took out an extended motor warranty cover with Bidvest when I purchased my car on 16 October 2014, which came into inception in March 2017 when my Manufacturer warranty expired in 2017, the policy is valid until 27 March 2017. The policy states that all the component or part must be installed or repaired by either your Selling dealer, a Bidvest Insurance Approved Franchise dealer or a Manufacturer’s Franchise dealer. Bidvest is hiding behind this clause above and they did so intentionally to decline claims and avoid paying out. I will now explain how this is so. In my policy, I am covered for engine components, meaning parts which are found inside the engine. Bidvest is aware that Manufacturer dealers such as Ford do not fix inside the engine, they do not replace/fix engine components, they simply replace the old engine with a new one. So whenever I take my car to Ford, Ford will say that they need to replace the engine, upon claiming, Bidvest will decline the claim stating that my policy does not cover the engine. So in essence, I am covered for components for which I will never get a chance to claim for. On my last claim, I had to ask Bidvest to take the car to a RMI approved repairer, the request was approved provided this is the only time that they will grant me the permission to take the car to a RMI approved repairer.
