Silicone Fix
This is one of the most terrible experiences that I had with a second-hand dealer. I bought a car from them and within 3 months the manifold cracked, the water pump broke, the timing gasket was leaking oil, and the unit was "fixed "with silicone because one of the nuts broke off. The dealership assured me that the car had a full-service history and that there were no problems... When I asked them about all the problems on the car, they simply said that it went through roadworthy, so it is not their problem. Now I sit with a car that will cost me around R20 000 extra to fix, and this is just the problems that I can see from the outside. I know that buying a second-hand vehicle you always have the risk of something going wrong, but to fix a car with silicone and sell it to someone as a descent vehicle is just wrong on so many levels. I will NOT recommend that you buy from this dealership.

Matzikama Local Municipality - Strandfontein Camping
At the end of August 2022, I made a booking at the Matzikama Local Municipality for our December vacation. I booked 2 places for camping for 11 nights. They asked for an immediate full payment, which I did. We went to view the sites to make sure that we bring along everything that we might need and to make sure that the bathrooms are wheelchair friendly, because we have elderly people joining us for the vacation. On arrival we found that there are steps leading to the bathrooms and the bathroom itself was not disability friendly. We decided to make a cancelation to book somewhere else to accommodate everyone. They did not want to refund us even though it is two months before the booked dates. When we confronted them about their cancelation policy of 14 days prior to your stay, they replied that they do not do refunds at all, but if we can send them proof of disability, they will refund us. So, we send through the proof and now they still won't refund us. Now they are saying they will only refund 75%, because they do not do refunds. Nowhere on their website or booking site do they mention anything about no refunds, only the 14 days prior to your stay. I am so frustrated and disappointed with the Matzikama Local Municipality, and I will never make a booking with them again. Never have I ever struggled like this to get a refund out of a place, and I think they should be ashamed for their "false advertising".
