Union Bank almost got sued by my business manager for holding money they had no legal right to hold. I mentioned this to corporate and to have the money to me by the following Monday. The check arrived that Monday. What do you call that kind of bank behavior? This is a very long story so I am going to shorten with a frozen account, questions of my legitimate wires from clients, a wire from Switzerland had to be redirected to another account at another bank and a long wait to receive the balance in my account. One client was so scared by Union Bank the money was retracted and sent to another one of my accounts. Good thing I had other accounts. Hard to believe huh? Well very true and horrifying especially since I was apologized to and asked to please open my account at Union Bank. I even had an appointment made for me. Appears flags are going off for security reasons and bankers aren't well trained to notice the difference between fraud and honest business. I don't always provide an invoice until asked by a client not a bank. The same with a statement. My finance manager does all my work. I just own my business and am sure the money goes where I am asked to send it. I keep records of all transactions then match to the bank statements. If I have a question I ask my finance manager. Sorry Union Bank. You were wrong as many banking ill willed procedures are wrong. I know my business. I don't need a babysitter and if I wanted one I would ask. I open a bank account not an accounting firm that I must answer to a bank for my business or client business practices. It's none of a banks legal right to even be part of unless hired for that purpose. Read a few more reviews. They get worse in abuse to my person and business affairs.
This experience was a real crazy moment in my banking history. I liked the name Umpqua so I decided to open a personal account after all it really is my choice of how many bank accounts I want. I asked my finance manager who was assigned to my business to send one wire to check the account. Make sure I have all the details correct. He works with people around the world so laws are different in each country. Some countries allow personal accounts for business transactions. America frowns on this for some unknown reason of logic. Anyway my finance manager sent three wires and the account was auto frozen. The total was about $13,000.00 and to a bank rep that was a lot of money. I see hundreds of thousands of dollars in a short time from rich to poor and other needs. I said you would have had a heart attack if more money came in. My finance manager apologized. This didn't seem to mean anything to those nosy bankers. I was given the third degree and told I didn't maintain my account. I never got to use my account. Besides I don't work for the bank therefore I can't answer for my clients and they can't expect I should. A long story short I received my money and went on with my banking experiences elsewhere. No harm done right? Did this bank or any bank consider what the money was there for? Do they really have the right to ask what my money is for business or personal? Bankers seem to think once you have an account the business is theirs and I mean the money is no longer under my control. So read another review to get a full scope of the abuse I've endure in 8 months of my business life here in California.
I work with people from around the world in many financial ways from giving to receiving. I help in South Asia, Africa, Ghana etc. I work with clients pretty much anywhere is allowed per federal law. I have a business license. I opened a US Bank account and told the banker exactly what I do with my business. When I went to actually conduct business this was forbidden. I mentioned Nigeria and appeared I used a word was a crime. Granted many places have crime, but this is no reason to condemn the innocent in business and or individual. I took my money to another bank to wire to Nigeria. Then I went in to get a cashier's check to take to another bank to wire because US Bank doesn't work with pleasure for my type of account. Only problem is some of my clients have the same type of account at US Bank. I call this discrimination for reasons US Bank will never expose. Anyway to make a long story short I received a cashier's check and my account was closed. Well then that told me something of a negative business experience. I was quite shocked since these people never asked who I was, who my associates are, how I bridge gaps between the poor and the wealthy. No no one ever takes the time to realize I exist and run a very grand service of all kinds of value to people who may not be able to receive unless I take my chances to help. But neither here nor there I still exist in business and my experiences with Banks gets even worse. Read more of my reviews. Could it be I work with more money than US Bank or any bank want's me to have?
BofA froze $44,000.00 without any reason. Never once did BofA consider the money may have been needed for an orphanage, health reasons etc. I did finally receive the money and was able to wire to the orphanage, but who was hurt in all of this? BofA didn't care whatsoever. The accounts were closed without any reason and an attitude they didn't need one. Customer service was disgusting. I didn't lose any money in the closure so I did not go to court, but I would have had there been financial loss at that time. I was able to open other bank accounts. I work with many clients for many reasons. I have a business license and follow all federal and state laws. I've been insinuated by BofA I am possibly associated to or conducting business from clients to activity is not upstanding or honorable. I am very fortunate my clients always defend me when someone tries to destroy my character or business affairs. I've warned BofA to stop or I will have to ask a judge to recognize the influence of my business prosperity in a negative way by BofA to other banks as well.
$25000 Wire sent September 28 2018 from Spain still not found with several requests to Chase to find the money. The sender bank has sent updates to Chase to try to get the money into my business account. I have filed several written complaints without respectful response or concern I am a living breathing existence who deserves to be treated with the utmost respect. Chase will do whatever Chase pleases no care to anything. 8 accounts shut down and or set to shut down without warning in good standing after many many years with Chase at the same time the $25000 went missing. Still the attitude is so what Chase will do whatever Chase pleases to long term clients or anyone. My daughter's accounts were targeted included in the 8 accounts shut down and or to be shut down. Her IRA can't earn until she transfers it and she can't transfer until November 17 2018. I sure hope the attorney I am working with can get to the $25000 and file a lawsuit for negligence and other practices of contract breach etc. on behalf of myself and my daughter. One account isn't to shut down until November 25 2018 yet it is restricted. An $8000 wire had to be retracted to be sent to another one of my accounts at another bank. These people are evil in my estimation of business disgust of money disappearing with no concern to find it. This is October 24 2018 and the $25000 is still not in my possession. My finance manager asked I file a police report so I did. $1000 to be paid to one of the shut down credit cards was applied to an account closed from 10 years ago. I had to threaten with police then that money was finally put into my credit account. My finance manager paid for my daughters two credit cards were shut down so she would not assume finance charges while paying off. He is also paying my credit cards so I don't have a problem. WHEN WILL CHASE AND BANKERS BE SHUT DOWN, LOCKED UP IN JAIL AND MADE TO PAY SERIOUS FINES FOR THIS KIND OF BUSINESS BEHAVIOR. IF I DID THIS IN MY BUSINESS I WOULD LOSE MY LICENSE, MADE TO PAY RETRIBUTION TO THE CLIENT AND BE FINED.
