I booked an organised motorcycle tour starting in Cape Town 18 oct 2018 I planned to courier my own bike from Pretoria ,fly to Cape Town on 17 oct 2018,collect my bike and start touring the next day. After looking at Bike-Freight -Services website I entrusted them with the transport, paid them R6000 2months in advance-my only proviso being that my bike must be in Cape Town on 17 oct The whole experience turned into a nightmare 1No communication from company,after 3 emails and numerous calls the bike was collected 3 days later than promised 2.At 14:00 17 oct I received an email and call from Mandy assuring me that the bike is in East London at present and will be on time in Cape Town 3 Based on Mandys info I flew to Cape Town 4On arrival in Cape Town18:00 I phoned Max(driver)-who informed me that he only just left Durban 5My bike arrived in cape town 2days after my tour started 6I had to rent a bike at great cost to partake in my tour 7The feedback from owner Peter Baker was shocking He said I should read his T&Cs-he accepts no responsibility for late deliveries (He had 2 months in which to deliver bike on time,his driver mentioned to me on collection that he will not be in cape town 17 oct due to various deliveries and his receptionist lied to me on the progress of delivery) He refunded 50% of my money and refuses to refund the rest On further investigation I can understand why he doesnt respond to social media -Bike Freight -Services is not exactly covered in glory on this platform!
