I live directly across the road from Hudson's in Parkhurst and the noise level coming from this establishment late at night has become completely unacceptable. On a regular basis around 11pm and later, there is loud music coming from the venue along with drunk teenage patrons shouting and making excessive noise outside and in the street. The sound carries directly into my main bedroom which makes it extremely difficult to sleep. This is not a once off incident - it has become a repeated disturbance, almost nightly. While restaurants and bars are part of Parkhurst's character, there is still a responsibility to operate in a way that respects the surrounding residential neighborhood. Allowing loud music and crowds to continue late into the evenings of the week with no apparent attempt to control the noise shows a complete lack of consideration for people who actually live here. If Hudson's Parkhurst wants to operate as a late night venue, then proper noise management and control of patrons outside of the premises should be a basic requirement. At this point and after numerous chats with the managers the only option left is to escalate this issue through formal complaints with COJ and the relevant authorities if the situation is not addressed. I would appreciate a response explaining what steps will be taken to control the music volume and late night disturbances from someone in a higher position as the managers as they are still young and cant seem to manage a business correctly, going forward.
I recently purchased a Hisense 75Q6N from Game in clearwater mall. Upon unboxing the TV and setting it up, I noticed Hisense product adverts that scroll across the home screen (in home Mode) in the top banner. I tried removing the ads by turning off the "personalized ads" settings in the TV menu. They were not removed. I then contacted the sales rep at the store that i purchased the TV from and he said they cannot be removed. If he had known this, i should had been informed before making this purchase. I then contacted Hisense, who sent one of their technicians out to come remove the ads. They also could not remove the ads, and wrote this down in their report. Today (12/12/24) i received a call from Hisense informing me that the Tv has these adverts programmed into their software and cannot be removed and that they are not willing to refund or swop for a diffent brand of TV and that i should keep the TV. For anyone reading this, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT purchase this Hisense model TV. I, as a consumer, will not be supporting/purchasing Hisense products in the future.
This company has terrible customer service and horrible product support. I purchased a brand new Dillon XL 750 from an outlet. Upon opening the box and setting up the powder measure, i noticed the powder measure had an extreme amount of slop in it and was making an abnormal knocking sound. I emailed Shooting Stuff for their professional advice on it to which they could not assist. I then requested a quote from them on the replacement parts I thought I needed for the powder measure. They sent me the quote which I was ok with. I then called them and asked if I could bring in the powder measure for them to look at to be sure that the parts they quoted on were in fact going to work and solve the issues I was having before I purchased them. After all, who wants to spend R1000 on parts they are not sure will work? While on the phone with them they then said that I can bring it in but they are going to charge me R200 Per 15 minutes just to look at the powder measure to cover their time?? plus I would still need to pay for the parts that I needed (which I was fine to do in the first place). I find it a bit ridiculous that a Dillon Dealer wants to charge me excessive amounts just to look at a problem on a part from a high-end brand that I invested a lot of money into and who claims to also have a no BS warranty on their products. I have spent a fair amount of money at Shooting stuff and have tried to be a loyal customer and to support their business when I can but it seems as if they don't need it. I decided to cut my losses and buy a new powder measure from another store and will avoid this company at all costs in the future, besides other stores are substantially cheaper than Shooting Stuff on their Dillon Products.
Yesterday the 17th november 2018 my fibre installation was done at 8:30am, a month after ordering it. The guy that that did the installation told me that it will take +/- 3 hours to configure my Fibre device. Today the 18th november 2018 at 7pm I see that the PON light is still flashing and I am still without internet. I phoned the call centre twice today and I am still waiting for the configuration to be done. Please get this done ASAP or you can come and collect your hatdware and give my money back.
