I have been a loyal MTN customer for the last 15 odd years and even though their service has never been perfect, I have remained patient and continue to support them, until now. I decided to upgrade my contract online at the end of January. Received 1 email saying my request was being processed and that i could expect delivery within 10 days. I then received another email to say that something went wrong and i should contact customer care 083135 - so i tried and i tried and i tried somemore. 5 days later someone answered and said they could not see my request. They asked a whole string of questions and then proceeded to transfer my call to someone who could help - 3 transfers later still no luck. I then get told contact rewards company - Mohammed has captured the order and i will receive my phone within 7 days. 7 days later still no phone, no email, no sms. I call again. no answer. 2 days later i call and get a very rude woman tell me that mtn is having a problem with stock. WOW - this 2 days after i should have received my phone. MTN has all my details but clearly they cannot contact a paying customer to keep them abreast of their order. I have requested a call back from their service manager - NOTHING! Seriously MTN you have lost my business.

Guys, what you have done for us after our disastrous experience in the last few weeks has touched our hearts in ways that words cannot describe - every member of our team is excited and proud to be associated with people like you, who go beyond the call of duty to ensure that not only our business is safe and secure, but that we are also safe and protected. After the fire burnt down our premises we received calls from all your team that was involved in setting up our store, offering assistance and just making sure we were ok. Your immediate, pro bono back up plan and your genuine service with a smile attitude ensures that you will forever be our service providers of choice. Thank you Neil, Rakesh, Yashvir and the entire your communications team -You are legendary -it is because of people like you that we know that from the ashes we will rise.
