Good day again, I have booked a weekend out for the 28/09/2018 until the 30/09/2018 unfortunately i was unable to go for that weekend because i had a miscarriage a night before on the 27/09/2018. I qas admitted At BRENTHURST clinic and later moves to Charlotte Maxeke hospital where a D&C was perdomed on the 28/09/2018. I was discharged on the 29/09/2018. I was so traumatized and confused by the whole experience and was very ill since i lost a lot of blood. Was bed ridden for almost a week, only to find my account debited by MOUNT GRACE FOR 2507, 50 on the 02/10/2018. I have been trying to request for a refund ever since but only told today that i was charged for a NO SHOW" . I have tried ro explain to a lady by yhe name of GUGU that unfortunately i did not planto have an emergency that required me ro be hospitalized therefore i could not even call and cancel since i was sick. She seems not willing to help and rold me she dont see a possibility of me being refunded and reffered me ro the terms and conditions of the booking which does not state the cancellation policy in terms of emergencies. Please help. I got a very bad service from AFFINITY HEALTH AND NOW MOUNT GRACE, PLEASE ASSIST
Good afternoon, I joined this company requiring a hospital plan in a medical aid company sinve i am asthmatic. I joined this company and ezplained to them that i need hospital cover. I have been paying more than a year and i ecperienced a miscarriage on the 27/09/2018. They then told me i can go to Brenthurst clinic but surprisingly when i was about ro be admitted i was rold they will only pay 15k and i would have to pay the rest of ghe hospital fees. I was then told to go to a public hospital because affinity wont cover while i was bleeding i then had to go without being treated. I went to Charlotte Maxeke govt hospital and i was very ill. I felt dissapointed when i was lying on a wheelchair being constantly asked if i shud be admitted or shudi be released because my medical aid is only an insurance. I have had a conversation previously with a consultant from affinity health re assuring me that they cover everything i must not worry about anything, that was when i wanted to terminate my contract eith them. I need to no what happened to the 15k they wanted to pay BRENTHURST CLINIC after i wentro Charlotte Maxeke since they said thats the only amount they would cover. I am still heartbroken and traumatised by the experience. Regards Pat
