I am utterly disappointed and deeply concerned about the unacceptable experience I recently encountered at the Premier Hotel in Sea Point. The level of security and overall management of an incident demonstrated by the hotel has left me in disbelief and concerned for others looking to stay here. My frustration stems from an incident involving a parcel entrusted to the hotel's reception and concierge by a relative's friend visiting Cape Town and staying at this hotel. The sole purpose of leaving the package at reception and in their care was to ensure its safe collection by me / my fiancé. As one would expect from a reputable hotel, it is reasonable to expect that guests staying at the hotel would assume that the package would be treated with utmost care by the receptionist and received by us when we came to collect. However, what unfolded during the subsequent two days of trying to collect the parcel from the hotel was beyond frustrating and alarming. Every time I approached the hotel staff at reception, they offered dismissive responses, claiming that no such package had been received, and furthermore, that the individual (i.e. the person who confirmed their stay at the hotel and who left the package for us to collect) was not even a guest at the hotel. Only after persistent requests by the guest from whom we were collecting the parcel from, the hotel produced a picture of an ID of a random man, allegedly belonging to someone who collected the package on our behalf. The conduct and negligence exhibited by the hotel's reception personnel are deeply troubling. Despite recognising me from the day before as the person inquiring about the parcel (i.e. when we first came to collect the parcel), the receptionist continued to deny the parcel's existence. The situation escalated when it became apparent that an unidentified stranger managed to gain access to the hotel's reception, falsely presenting themselves as the intended person allegedly collecting on behalf of the recipient (i.e. giving my fiancé's first name, which would only be known by the guest and reception personnel as a note was left on the parcel for the receptionist to know when we came to collect), and ultimately walking away with the package! There is no reasonable explanation for this occurrence other than the reception personnel tipping off this individual after the guest left the parcel at reception. This disconcerting incident has cast serious doubts on the hotel's commitment to guest security and the protection of personal information or any parcels left at reception in their care. If a complete stranger can waltz in and access private details and belongings with such ease, one can only wonder about the overall safety and integrity of Premier Hotel Sea Point. It is entirely unacceptable that guests can be compromised due to the hotel's careless approach to security and management. I urge the management of Premier Hotel Sea Point to take immediate and decisive action to rectify these glaring issues. Security protocols must be drastically strengthened and the hotel's staff should undergo comprehensive training on the handling of guests' belongings left in their care. Furthermore, an in-depth internal investigation is warranted to identify the individuals responsible for the mishandling of this situation. We had every reason to expect a higher standard of service, safety and care (as I am sure the guest from overseas who is visiting Cape Town and staying at this hotel did too), however to say I am disappointed is an understatement. I sincerely hope that the hotel will take these concerns seriously and proactively prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
Customer care/service is non existent.Total scam and poor excuse of a service. Haven’t gotten one order right or delivered on time. It seems that each time an order hasn’t been delivered/items are missing customers are being forced to reuse this shocking excuse of a service for the simple reason that Zulzi does not refund customers for non-delivered goods, but credits your Zulzi account instead. Possibly the worst app/customer service in SA at the moment and seems like a total fraud!
Horrific! I am absolutely appalled at the service. I gave the store a few garments 3 days ago (AND paid upfront) and was promised that the tailor will have it ready by Friday (in time before I leave for my holiday on Sunday). I arrived on Saturday morning to collect the garments, only to be told that the tailor had not even started!!! I was then promised that my garments would be delivered to my house before the end of the day, which they were not. Possibilly the worst dry cleaning and tailor service in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg!!! Totally unrealible and unprofessional.
