So when has it become acceptable for companies to take out contracts without the consumers consent or knowledge. Changing my sim card from a pre-paid to a contract sim, blocking all of my info form my provider, Vodacom, and taking control of my number like that. I have been trying non stop for the past 6 days to get in touch and cancel this contract, which I did not want or do not have any knowledge about. What is the point of RICA and all the other security measures if this is even possible. It is fraud, and Vodacom don't seem to care, as I am not the only customer whom this has happened to. My advise from them is to go to RMCS's offices in Sandton, I have already spend R150 calling them, now I have to drive from Krugersdorp to Sandton to confront them in person, for a contract that I did not take out, or did not know about. This is the Edgars cellular division apparently. Edgards are also not being very helpfull, what is a person to do then??????
