So disappointed. I am left wishing that we had used different removal company. A brand new pedestal was damaged during the move. I have photographic proof of before and after. We noted the damage to the company in an email dated 22 December. Finally after bugging them they only responded today - exactly two months later. They admitted fault yet refuse to reimburse us for the replacement cost of our now damaged pedestal. I am shocked a this response. Their error should be rectified. When we contracted Master Movers to move 5 items of furniture, they offered us insurance cover which we declined because we assumed due care would be taken and the risk of fire and theft was negligible. I would like to warn potential customers about the way Master Movers do business. I am left wishing that we had used someone else who took more care and rectified their own mistakes.
Do not buy from this company! They seem to be unable to repair the water machines that they sell. I took my machine to H2 Cedar Square on 17 February and I still have not received it back in working order. It is now May and we have been without filtered water since February. Their communication is also shocking. I am complaining because this is not the first time this has happened. Last year they kept the machine for 7 weeks before I phoned to find out what the story was and then they kept it for another 2 weeks. This kind of service is unacceptable.
The maintenance managers are not doing their jobs at the Umhlanga Virgin Actives -both La Lucia and Gateway. La Lucia Rowers and watt bikes are not properly maintained. I tried 3 watt bikes earlier this week. 1st bike - The cleat on the pedal was loose and unsafe. 2nd bike - Handlebar can’t move back and forwards. 3rd bike - Magnetic resistance can’t be set on 2,3,4 or 5 I have no doubt I will find problems with the other bikes. The rowers are ancient and rusted. The top button is not working on one so you can’t choose a workout or do intervals. The rest are cranky and broken. I am very disappointed. Gateway After the bad experience at La Lucia we decided to try Gateway and that experience was worse. Rowers were also broken. One of the watt bikes did not have a water bottle cage and the other watt bike had no numbers on the magnetic resistance. Come on guys!! Why is is so bad in Umhlanga?? We have state of the art fully maintained equipment in Johannesburg. Has everybody forgotten about Umhlanga. We all pay the same fees.
