I’ve checked my statement and notices that my balance went from R1378.59 to R2563.67. Upon enquiry I was inform that have 3 different Month revolving plans on my statement. I’ve worked very hard to get my balance down from over the R7000 (prior Covid) down to R1300, paying a R1500 in December from extra money I’ve earned. They have added R787.89 interest on 18th month and a R800.10 on a 24th Month revolving, when I notice that I immediately enquired it and ask for it to be fix I rather pay a large instalment that have to have added interest of R1587.99 on a R258.99 purchase – oh my gosh! They amended the balance to a 6 month (no interest) as per an email send to me, but when I enquire regarding the R1587.99 – no reply. Upon sending a follow up email I got told that I opened up my account – (yeeeaaaaaars ago , mind you) on a 12 month plan, purchases was made on a 18th month payment plan and my balance was transferred to a 24 month payment plan. I didn’t authorize any of that. Now, I am completely dumbfounded, because just last week I got an email stating that my ‘balance’ was transferred to a 6 months plan, but now am told it is on a 24th month plan – so what is it? I really don’t want the INS & OUTS and the calculations of your plans. ALL that I Know is that my balance was on R1100.77 on the 01st Jan 2022, I’ve made a purchase of R258.99 on the 7th Jan 2022, and the closing balance on the 12th Jan 2022 was R2563.67 - this has to be against the law. The added interest is 6 times the amount of the purchase!! The cherry on the cake was the last consultant who email me and told me all consumers has a 30 day period to dispute or query any uncer*****y on their account – that is what am doing since 21st Jan 2022 (Well in my 30 days period) once I’ve received the statement. Please assist urgently in regarding this.
Apply for single combo, they send both single and couple medical confirmations. Ask them to rectify it more than 20 days prior to debitorder date, after emails back and forward they still deduct the couple combo (which is 80% more than single). After another email to complain, ask for refund and to cancel the application entirely, they reply that they will refund and they apologies. We found a medical sheme (not insurance) that worked in budget and apply to that. A month later and Asterio deducted another amount, which is neither the single or the couple tariff. This cause us to make unnecessary loan (debt) arrangements to cover other expenses due to a unforseen AND UNLAWFUL deduction. We will be giving them over to the ombudsman and Pasa. Do not trust them
