Stay away. Stay away. Definitely. Stay. The. F***. Away. They will lie and tell you that you are covered, or will be. Yes Douglass I am looking at you. Probably in hopes that you get f***** even further and won't go public as I will be. They are the lowest of low. They will help you from one pit into the next. DO YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVED ONES A FAVOUR AND STAY AWAY FROM ASTERIO AND AFRICA ASSIST.

I joined the company and battle to get my documents for over a month because my details were incorrect . Debit order was supposed to run on the 1st Aug but only ran on the 7th Aug and not for the amount agreed on. I cancelled contract but 4 days later they still ran the debit order and now I have to wait 60 days for a refund. I will never recommend this provider to anyone. The customer service is disgraceful to say the least.

AGS HEALTH, Underwritten by Asterio Medical Insurance is not reliable. We had joined them for a year and in that year not once was it smooth to consult a doctor. they make empty promises. LIES infact. I believe they are a scam ripping people off. Everytime we have to see a doctor there isa story to a point where my doctors refuses to work with them. they didn't even want to cancel my policy and took my money unauthorized to do so.

We joined the insurance feb 2019, with alot of promises from their side that don't realize. On the 2nd of may 2019 we find out with a blood test that i had to pay out of my own pocket that i am pregnant. On 14 may 2019 at 04:00am i had a miscarriage at home. My husband phone and they give him a go ahead for casualties at my arrival, i had to be admitted to the ward with a miscarriage, just to get a phone call at 07:01am from Mohammed to say that the admission have been declined for a reason i have a 9 months waiting period on maternity, the more we try to explain to Mohammed that the baby has passed away the more he argued. Further the doctor have to take me to theater to clean up they refuse, we even tried to explain to Teresa the situation with now break through in understanding. The doctor discharged me, with recommendation to go to theater 15 may 2019. The people is incompetent and arrogant with no humanity and understanding to do their work, who are they to over rule a QUALIFIED DOCTORS decision. Who will be responsible if i started to bleed to death?

Apply for single combo, they send both single and couple medical confirmations. Ask them to rectify it more than 20 days prior to debitorder date, after emails back and forward they still deduct the couple combo (which is 80% more than single). After another email to complain, ask for refund and to cancel the application entirely, they reply that they will refund and they apologies. We found a medical sheme (not insurance) that worked in budget and apply to that. A month later and Asterio deducted another amount, which is neither the single or the couple tariff. This cause us to make unnecessary loan (debt) arrangements to cover other expenses due to a unforseen AND UNLAWFUL deduction. We will be giving them over to the ombudsman and Pasa. Do not trust them

I mailed this company 2days ago no respons. I am enquiring about something important they simply just ignore me, what kind of service is that but if you dont pay your insurance they are on your necks like nobodies business. Below is my email enquiry ..i am very irritated with these people. Good day Please can you inform me about the maternity plan, we took out this medical plan with you guys its been over 1 year now. I would like to know my maternity benifits on my plan also what the process would be as i find it difficult that we always need to claim money back afyer visitations to doctors and dont get refunded full amounts. We have saved up enough on paying R1500 monthly for this plan and still dont get value for all our money.. The personell cant even show you where it is noted in policy. They never phone you back to give you feedback. Have refer matter to Ombudsman.</p>
