Helped by Paseka Marite I am writing to sincerely thank you for your patience and professionalism in resolving my recent address change and premium review. I know that my previous communications were fueled by a high level of frustration, but I truly appreciate that you remained patient with me throughout the process. Your willingness to listen and take action made all the difference, and I am very pleased that we were able to reach a resolution and secure the premium reduction. Thank you for providing the service I was hoping for. It is greatly appreciated.
I have experienced nothing less than *********** service for the last 3 weeks. This is regarding a claim for a simple co-payment I made for a CT scan. As I am deaf, I am unable to communicate by phone so needed to use email. I have submitted the required documentation multiple times, yet I have received two incorrect assessments in response. I have also had to explain my situation to five different consultants, which has been a very frustrating and time-consuming process. As a pensioner, this co-payment reimbur*****t is important to me. I kindly request that my claim be assigned to a senior case worker or someone with the necessary expertise to resolve this issue quickly and accurately. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. With this fiasco it makes you wonder whether all these reviews are real.
Disgusting Billing Services!! I am disgusted at the incompetence of Dr van Rensburg & Partners Radiology services in handling my account before a proper check was made. Within a day, you started threatening legal action without giving the patient any notice beforehand to respond. All documents from the referring doctor's note to authorisation and co-payment were made before I went for a scan at Flora Hospital! Besides having to pay a co-payment on top of this, it is shocking to see what is charged for simple X-rays by your company. I give them 0 stars It's not the first time either...
Miway Insurance and Customer Services should be ashamed of themselves. First of all they patronize people saying they will reduce premiums 10 percent for the duration of the lock down. This is a clever marketing tactic considering people can hardly use their cars right now after all and they naturally they do not want to lose their premiums. Of course they are rich enough already to so called give back I quote: "We will give over R25 million in premium income back to our clients in April" They are giving you NOTHING!. With many people suffering loss of income due to this pandemic naturally I contacted them to try and adjust my policy further for affordability reasons. Customer service was like a wet paper bag and non existent. They half heartedly tried to call me a 'deaf client' which they already are aware about first of all and couldn't be bothered trying to assist in any way. Typical of all insurance companies in our greedy corporate world. Disgusted and you don't even deserve a single star in my book.
Bestmed are a reasonably good medical aid though somewhat expensive in premiums. The problem is having to always pay a whole pile of money in shortfalls because they conveniently omit what the most important of all medical needs are which is tests to find out what is wrong with the person that is ill. Blood Tests, pathology, radiology etc. While paying high premiums every month to maintain your membership, you still need to fork out money ongoing to cover doctors that are harassing you for their slice of the pie on top of what they have milked the medical aid for. What an evil circle this is ! Bestmed should consider at least covering tests that doctors and specialists need to do to find out what is wrong with the suffering patient. Savings plan option to cover this is simply not enough and besides the medical aid should cover it in the first place, irrespective of the plan options. Come Bestmed live up to your name and be the BEST
I did have a problem with a lot of admin mess ups with Bestmed while trying to sort out my membership options and posted a review here recently about this. In being fair to them and following up, I would Like to Thank Esther Kgaphola for resolving my problem within one day after it was escalated. ********** Although I have read some negative reviews on this company you have to be fair in saying they do everything possible to try and resolve them. I have read horror stories about many medical aids but considering sometimes medical issues and certain cases are very complicated it could be understandable. Thanks a million, Esther I was crawling up the wall but you handled it with patience, diligence and empathy!
Bestmed medical Aid has given pretty good medical aid services but when it comes to admin they are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! After my wife passed away I needed to cancel her medical aid take out a new plan for myself with them and they have continuously *****ed it up now for almost 2 months. Although I have provided a death certificate for my wife's passing they have continued with making her the main member and me the sub member. Repeated emails to try and sort it out ( I am unable to call being deaf) mean they pass the buck to someone new each time that does not know what is going on and thus they do the wrong thing... I am on the point of cancelling with them all together and moving to another medical aid services. COME ON GUYS EMPLOY COMPETENT PEOPLE OR TRAIN THOSE YOU HAVE OR GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST IN MEDICAL AID RATINGS!!!

I will be reporting this scam far and wide including to Speak Out and Carte Blanch until this scammer lands up where he should be In jail. he continues registering new domains, changing the look of his website and stealing peoples money when they order from him because he will NEVER deliver! Shame on you Lionel/Etienne or whoever you are for stealing peoples hard earned money! Ultimately you will pay...
