Based on my prior review of DSTV I am still in the same position. Empty promises by DSTV and 0 service. Seems like DSTV does not care about customers but always makes sure that a debit order goes off so that DSTV can get there money. If there was another service provider I would change without thinking twice.
I have been contacting DSTV since Monday 28 December 2020. I have made to date 8 calls, and it is only 31 December 2020. I have requested the price-lock division to contact me so that I can get the new DSTV ultra decoder. I was told they contacted me and when I asked they had contacted another number. I was promised by DSTV every day that price-lock would contact me the next day. What must be done to actually get service from DSTV. If had to give DSTV a rating I would rate them a 0. I have also been battling for months to get my showmax sorted out and get pushed from pillar to post. A person pays a large amount on a premium package but gets 0 service.
After my first review of Pathetic Service regarding DSTV and Showmax, pleaae find a furtherreview. Thando from DSTV contacted me in the morning on 4 Feb 20 and would phone me back in 30 minutes - this did not occur. I then contacted DSTV the same day in the evening and spoke to Bronwyn Moonsamy who said the problem would be resolved in an hour. This did not take place. I then contacted DSTV again today and was on the line for 56 minutes. Still DSTV could not resolve the problem and eventually DSTV disconnected the line. I then contact DSTV again and was assisted by Siyamthanda PE who indicated that she could not assist me and that this would need to be escalated to the Technical Department. In total i have spent over 4 hours on the cellphone trying to resolve this with DSTV and DSTV has not yet resolved the matter. This is now the 2nd Pathetic Service Review that i have written in a space of 2 days. I would like my DSTV and Showmax issue resolved urgently. I would like DSTV to credit my DSTV account with the 4 hour telephone costs, which will be provided to DSTV when they contact me. DSTV is proving a terrible service, for a high cost, and showing re-runs after re-runs in terms of movies. Can this be resolved and by when. DSTV provide commitment in resolving this and dont just say it will be done and then do nothing.
On Monday 18 February 2019 i went onto Vodacom Online and requested an upgrade of my current phone to the Iphonexr. I then found out on Thursday 21 February 2019 that Vodacom had cancelled my Upgrade. I contacted Vodacom on the same day and Vodacom could not provide a reason for the Cancellation. I then contacted Vodacom on the 22 February 2019 (spoke to Jeffrey) to do my upgrade again. This was done. On the same call i indicated that the phone should be delivered to my home address and that a 3rd party would be accepting delivery. I then checked with the couriers (RAM) on 27 February 2019 and found that the phone was not delivered. I then found out after discussion with RAM Couriers that there was no 3rd Party approval by Vodacom. I contacted Vodacom and discussed this with Vodacom, who indicated that they would send this through to RAM. On 28 February 2019 I then requested Vodacom that the phone should be delivered to my Office on 1 March 2019 and provided the work address. Again the phone was not delivered as RAM had not received the instruction from Vodacom. I then contacted Vodacom on 1 March 2019 to Cancel my Upgrade and sent the same instruction to RAM and indicated to RAM that the phone should be returned to Vodacom. I am trying to do my upgrade myself but Vodacom has indicated that the upgrade has still not been cancelled as the phone has not be returned to them. I have had numerous calls with Vodacom and as at 7 March 2019, Vodacom still has not yet Cancelled the upgrade. I am fedup and disgusted with this going back and forth with Vodacom Online Upgrades and every time i contact them, i am always told they cannot cancel the upgrade until the phone is returned and therefore it is my problem. Please resolve ASAP
