As can be seen, VOX is excelling themselves with 1 star reviews. That tells one something. Not that this review will change VOX's unconcerned company policy, nor will I achieve a positive response from VOX with this review, but I do hope this review loses VOX a few customers, now and in the future. Reality is, VOX tech support is an experience one does not need. You have a tech support number 0878050530. One calls this number and after pressing numerous options, in this case business fibre, one holds on (for a looooong time) to speak to a techie, who quickly informs you that the only way he can help you is to send an email to support@voxtelecom.co.za detailing your problem. Why have a support number I ask myself? That is still the good news. Bad new is that you can, literally, wait for days for a techie to contact you.. And this is business fibre. Maybe home fibre department is more efficient? VOX is all system driven and account suspension is VOX speciality and priority. Clearly Internet Services (IS) are also suspended. VOX main priority is to collect money. Service delivery is of no concern to VOX. Nobody within VOX account department can make a decision or overide the system; Whether VOX hitch or otherwise. Almighty VOX system is NEVER at fault. As is one of my customer's VOX experience: December Invoice was generated on 24th December 2025. January 2026 Invoice was generated on the same day 24th December 2025. Payment was due by 1st January 2026. Clearly, this was not going to happen even in an ideal world. Game over. Account suspended. And one wonders how does one pay VOX account when one opens the business doors in January without an IS? Request was made to VOX to switch IS on for a day to effect payment. should payment not be effected, VOX is welcom to suspend the IS. VOX NOT INTERESTED!!! I do not know why VOX, apart from sales department, employ people. I will not bore you with another customer of mine whereby their newly installed November 2025 VOX IS was suspended, and still is, after payment was acknowledged. The IS was never on long enough to be even configuered for their system...... Message is: VOX way or the HIGHWAY!!! Ladies and gentlemen, make your choice. If you do choose VOX, stop complaining, you were warned. Guess VOX is just to big to have any "customer care"???
Books were ordered from Wize Books and paid for on 22/02/2025. Their order system requires for the delivery address to be populated. EDENGLEN is the suburb that was chosen. The Wize Book SYSTEM identified that as Jeffreys Bay area, EASTERN CAPE. Edenglen is in GAUTENG. EDENGLEN does NOT exist in Eastern Cape. Allegadly, books are in Jeffreys Bay. Systems go wrong. It is what it is. The issue is that Arni Harmse from Wize Books is not interested in resolving the problem. Consequently, the student that enrolled with Varsity College (and as at 04/03/2025), she has no study material and hence the chances of her completing her assignments on time is zero. And that is the reality of the matter.
This review is LOOONG overdue. I contacted Covergard in June 2019. I spoke to a Lady by the name of Katlego. I do hope she still works there. Be that as it may, I needed custom cover for my Patio furniture made. Katlego accommodated me 100% of the way, from pricing to delivery. The cover is almost 3 years old, in sun & rain, and still looking brand new. Thank you Katlego. Well done. Keep up the good work. I note that people are reviewing CovergUard. The company I was dealing with is CovergArd.
I am insured with MiWay. I needed roadside assistance. I called MiWay call centre. My call was answered within 12 seconds. This is unheard of from a call centre in South Africa today. My request was processed under 6min, including a very friendly chat with Keneilwe Leroke, the MiWay consultant that processed the request. Whilst waiting for a tow truck, all 20 min of it, I received numerous communication calls from MiWay and Tow Truck service provider. I have no idea whether this was just my lucky day, or whether MiWay is just always this well organised. What I do know is that Keneilwe was very efficient & very professional. Well done MiWay and Keneilwe, and a big thank you.
Cell C Black ("BLACK") is an entity in South Africa that is affiliated to Cell C, and offers video streaming to their customers, something similar to Showmax. To a Cell C customer, the data is included in the package of choice and is seen as "free". To a non Cell C customer, the data portion is extra. Although their selection of movies, series, etc is NOT great, because one does not pay for the data portion of the video streaming if one is a Cell C customer, value for money is ok. If you are not a Cell C customer, it just does not make economical sense to subscribe to BLACK. Being a Cell C customer since inception of Cell C (highly recommended), I decided to subscribe to BLACK. I setup a recurring monthly subscription, a subscription in the form of a debit order going through my credit card. In December 2018, the BLACK system, for whatever reason, took 5 x monthly subscriptions off my credit card. It happens. I sent numerous emails to BLACK (with proof of 5 debit amounts coming off my credit card) requesting my money to be returned back to my credit card. They always reply promptly, informing me that my case is under investigation, and they will revert to me ASAP. 3 Months later, my case is still under investigation, and my money is nowhere to be found. What is there to investigate? Either 5 of my Debit order amounts reached BLACK account, or not. If they did, then refund me. If not, tell me to try my luck elsewhere... but don't insult your customer's intelligence (no matter how stupid they are) and tell them that your case is under investigation and they will revert to you ASAP. To summarise, in my opinion, BLACK has a very poor and limited selection of movies, and hence does not make economical sense to subscribe, especially if you are not a CellC customer. Huge percentage of Movies are intended for the Indian and Black Cultures. Lastly, one cannot complain about BLACK support, because there is just not any.
