I was utterly and totally disappointed with the porter services at the wild coast sun . ON 26 May 2026 my hubby and I both over 60 checked in at wild coast sun hotel .We had no issues with checking in for 3 days but when we went looking for a porter to get our luggage from the car the issues began .Firstly we went over to a porter,Muzukisi who informed us that no porter with an empty trolley was a available we needed to wait for one Whilst we were waiting we saw a porter Mlandeli ,moving with a fully loaded trolley towards the car park Muzukisi asked my husband to follow him and ask him to help him with getting our luggage on his way back ,which my husband did. I waited in the reception area but after approximately 15 minutes later my husband came from the car park to the reception area ,which is not very close ,rolling two suitcases, bags on his shoulders, and 5 lithe water bottle in his hand I could see he was really exhausted carrying all the stuff Mlandelj was behind hin with am empty trolley but when my husband asked if he would help to take the heavy overloaded luggage he wS carrying to our room Mlandeli refused and said another lady who was at the reception area asked him to go with her to get her luggage and he ignored my husband who was battling to carry all that luggage even though my husband told him he had asked him earlier when he followed him to get the luggage He just didn't bother and told my husband to get someone else at the reception to help him This is not the kind of service I expected from sun international and am furious with what transpired as my husband has health issues . The said porter ignored him and left him to carry all the stuff which my husband assumed the porter would take in his empty trolley that he came back from the car park with and which the porter refused to help him although he was just behind my husband He was more interested in helping another person who was not in such dire need of help. This is unacceptable
I have been having continuous problems with Bonitas medical fund since they started using Marara Pharmacy only as the dispatching pharmacy for chronic medication .Every month for the last three months I have been complaining about medication not being delivered timeiously This month again it is the same problem .I do not have medication for my pressure or diabetes and still waiting for delivery.Bonitas does not allow me to take medications from other pharmacies or I pay 40 percent co payment if I do In case of emergency I am stuck with no medications and yet my subscriptions are taken out every month I did end up buying medication two months ago because I waited three weeks ,made numerous phone calls to bonitas and Marara Pharmacy, sent numerous emails and nothing was done My husband was diagnosed with ckd and has hypertension His script was sent on 3 June I called Marara Pharmacy on 10 June and a lady ,Lorraine said the script needed a copayment which I agreed to pay after medication gets delivered She said she will escalate and send my meds too nut to date nothing came .We both need our meds urgently yet nothing comes I am so frustrated with Bonitas since I pay them and need better service from them I am tired of calling both bonitas and marara pharmacy all the time Its stressful when no one listens I asked to speak to the clinician ,Annie, who told me anytime I call must ask for her after my problems went on hello Peter and Facebook in Feb this year but every time I ask fir her I am being told she's busy and will call back which she never does As a chronic patient paying my subscriptions to a medical aid that does nothing to help the patients is frustrating This is breach of contract I am so utterly stressed as this is an ongoing problem I am having with Marara Pharmacy and Bonitas is of no help I am a govt pensioner and cannot afford the 40 percent extra to pay if I take meds from local pharmacies which bonitas wants me to pay even if meds don't come on time and are urgently needed Its a mess they don't want to sort out with Marara Pharmacy Am frustrated.
I am on chronic medication and Bonitas only allows Marara pharmacy to deliver meds .It's gone 7 days and I haven't received any meds .I have been making numerous calls to both Bonitas and Marara pharmacy from Monday ( 24 march 2025) Ref for Bonitas call on Monday is 240325QVTP1 ( spoke to Xolani ) My last meds were delivered on 21 February and am with out meds from then .I was told that I would get a call back after he speaks to Marara about my meds I called Marara also and was told by them that it will be escalated To date no meds came.I have been calling Bonitas every day since Monday and Marara pharmacy All I get is they "escalating'" My subscriptions are paid every month without fail and yet service has been so poor Bonitas told me I can't get meds from any other pharmacy even though I desperately need them If I do get it from any other pharmacy I have to pay 40 percent copayment.I am a pensioner I cannot afford that and it's their mess up because Marara pharmacy is not delivering on time I am in Durban .Marara pharmacy is in Cape town It's not like I can go pick up from them It's so frustrating and stressful for me I got very sick because I didn't have meds to take My son went to the local pharmacy to get meds but Bonitas declined it saying Marara already claimed on 20 march and meds were being dispatched I phoned Marara pharmacy and Roslyn from there told me me yesterday ( 26 march) that meds were not dispatched as yet How ridiculous is that Again I asked Bonitas to allow me to get my meds from a local pharmacy and again I was told wait for Marara or pay 40 percent more This wasn't a purchase of something material This was chronic meds that are life saving I ended up buying a few meds cash yesterday .Marara pharmacy is not interested in the urgency of getting meds to the patients and Bonitas won't do anything to assist either .They don't care.I also have had other issues with Bonitas not paying for sugar strips although I am diabetic and have the doctor had sent a motivation for me to receive it every month
I purchased a kic chest freezer from Springfield Makro in June this year but after a couple weeks I noticed that it was over freezing and I couldn't close the top door I couldn't get hold of anyone at that time because of the protest action in KZN and Springfield Makro was destroyed but I did get thru in August I was told it was a factory fault and I would get another one replaced I was sceptical about taking the same sort of chest freezer but I was told I could either get that or they offered me a smaller defy chest freezer which was going 400 rand less at the time I purchased the kic I asked for a refund and was told that only if I can bring the chest freezer back to the Cornobia Makro would they consider I was not able to do that so accepted the second chest freezer This one is the same problem I have contacted Makro headoffice and still have not had my problem resolved They still want to give me a new kic chest freezer but I am not willing to take something that gave me problems twice already I have not only paid for so many calls to them but also had to throw away frozen items that got frost burnt in the over freezing chest freezer I have spoken to someone from cornobia Makro about it but was told that I should contact kic and let them know I bought the chest freezer from Makro yet I have not got the problem resolved yet I am tired of phoning them This is definitely poor service delivery and if two chest freezers are giving the same insulation problem makes me wonder how many other defective chest freezers were sold to costumers with the same problem I am having I haven't heard from Makro and am still sitting with a defective freezer and overfrozen stuff
