Do not use them. No customer service and do not deliver on time. Asked for a refund as I ended having to get my medication from a local pharmacy. I have been waiting for nearly a month with no communication. Very unprofessional.
I am very upset with the service and wrong information provided to me by one of DSTV’s call Centre agents. I called in last week and asked about if I deactivate my service for the month (as I am traveling later on within the month) of April will I be able to view my recorded shows on my PVR. The female agent went to confirm with her team leader and came back and confirmed that yes I will be able to watch as they are saved on the hard drive. I won’t be able to view movies on my box office. I confirmed again with the agent and she repeated this information. With the information provided, I went on the deactivate my services for April . Today I try to watch one of my recorded shows and I am unable to as it gives a message that services have been deactivated. I called in to the call Centre and informed the agent of the above and asked for a way forward. The agent informed me that I would have to pay for the bouquet I was on and also the amount for the recording functionality to be able to watch my recorded shows. I informed her that I made the decision of cancelling based on the wrong information I was given and she went to say that is unfortunate but that is what it is. I requested to speak to the team leader who wasn’t helpful also. I am very disappointed in the customer service provided by DSTV. I believe that when wrong information is provided and there is a recorded call of this , the information should be upheld and not at the cost of the customer. I honestly was one of the last people who truly did not want to cancel my services with DSTV but after the poor customer service and wrong information provided I am definitely not reconnecting my services. What reason do I have honestly when all this company cares about is making money and not proper customer service. I would rather go to Netflix were I am guaranteed new shows , transparency and true customer service Very disappointed
