Tried to make a booking online and would not work on checkout as it did not give the Pensioner discount as advertised on their web page. So now we send them an email with the 3 lodges and camps we want to book for the month of November, and no reply, jut an automatic reply stating a case number we will get back to you in 24 hours, not sure how their clock works but no call back only an email stating our case has expired and it is closed. So then we called their number on the web page, well... 1. First call took 1hour and 23 minutes and we were cut off 2. Second call 36 minutes and cut off again. 3. Third call 18 minutes and guess what cut off again. The prices on the web to the prices from renovations 2 days later are more expensive before the Pensioner discounts plus they add in some community fee per booking of R300. We have been members of the Wild card system for over 14 years, now we see why Tourism in South Africa is going down the toilet
We have been ordering C***** Nolac Lactose Free UHT for the last couple of years and they deliver to my home every time I order, and most times it's 3 cases. 2 weeks ago we had a problem with 2.5 cases of the milk and called the rep, she came and took photos of the codes etc, and left. She came back again this week and took more photos and left. the off milk is still at my home. This is the worst service I have EVER received from a supplier. We were star graded last year (2024) 4 Stars and have been asking for our South African Tourism Grading plaque's for a year now. We have phoned, emailed and have been promised so many times that they will send them and we are still waiting. So much for promoting tourism in South Africa,
The service from Airbnb is disgusting, I had to load my passport photo 9 times and in doing so I lost my booking. Once I sent a message to the host on Airbnb about this and said I was going to every social media platform to let the world know of the bad service, suddenly, my passport phot was approved, does not stop there. So, I re-logged on to Airbnb and once again put in a request to stay at a property for 3 nights, and guess what Airbnb asked for proof of my passport to be re-loaded. I travel all over the world and have never been asked for proof of my Identity before I book accommodation. I got a message after I tried to make the booking, stating they will send me an e-mail within 24 hours. Now I wait again, what a joke. And the sad thing about this is that I am going on a 8 week holiday to Namibia in Africa.
Enjoyed a great meal at this pub/restaurant in Hilton last week. Staff were great and the food was tops, only problem was the plates were cold when the food arrived at the table. Will be back.
I was in Newcastle last week and bought 1 x case 1.5l bottles of water and on getting home 2 of the bottles were leaking, and both from the lids. I called the branch and was told that once the product leaves the store it's not their problem.
The Total brand of petrol in South Africa needs to shut down their petrol station in Wakkerstroom -Mpumalanga. If this is the Petrol Brand that Total is all about, well maybe the Directors should take a drive to Wakkerstroom as visit this petrol station, it's disgusting, the forecourt is full of potholes, the toilets are totally disgusting, the petrol has water in their tanks and the service from the poor attendant's is the best part of the petrol station. No management in sight and when we asked to speak to the manager we were told that she does not work in the afternoon, and the owner does not care one bit. We were told that the owner does not even buy Total petrol, so if this is the case why is Total signage all over the petrol station, this is not the image that Total South Africa stands for I'm sure. Total South Africa PLEASE do something about this petrol station in Wakkerstroom
I had glasses made up in August 2023 in Howick. Once they were ready they sent them to Newcastle KZN to the branch. I was unable to collect so a friend of mine that was going to Newcastle collected them for me on the 29th September 2023. Once I received the glasses I noticed that the right lens was also made up even after I told them not to put in a prescribed lens as I only have 3% sight and all the other times they have put in a plan lens. The lens for my 'good eye' left eye is not clear and very blur vision. I have tried to look through the lens at different angles but does not work. I called the Howick branch on Saturday the 28th October 2023 and told them about my glasses not working. I was told that they would call me back in 10 minutes after the had spoked to the Optometrist, but noting happened. I called back later in the day but no answer, and again today Monday the 30th October 2023. I find by reporting on this site one gets answers.
I bought a pack of the mutton stew, well I have never tasted anything so disgusting in my life. I would like to know is how can a company sell this food to anyone, I do hope all that who ever makes this in the factory tries the products. It tasted like dirty dish water and as for the 'meat' well not sure what it was.
Everyone I spoke to in Cape Town said i must go to Charley's Bakery seen i love sweet treats. Well how disappointed I was, this is one bakery I will never put my foot into again. I don't eat anything with Gluten so i bought 2 gluten free lemon meringue cupcakes and 1 chocolate cupcake. They tasted like a powder mixture and no flavor of lemon meringue and the chocolate cupcake , well I think the premix one can buy would taste better.
