Arrogant and *********** Department of Home Affairs
I app**** for my IDcard 4 months ago and have sent 10 emails following up and enquiring why my ID card is not ready. I have not received a response and I subsequently phoned the dept several times enquiring and the excuse I got was “it’s in the process”. When asked how long it is going to take the arrogant answer I always get is “It will take as long as is necessary!. What a disgrace! This is probably the most *********** department in government. Can they please treat citizens with respect and dignity and respond to emails? Disgusting!

Unacceptable treatment from Sanlam.
I am a 71-year retired military veteran. My pension (lumpsome) was paid into a Sanlam Glazier account and I received proceeds from the fund annually into my bank account. I have closed this bank account because of the high bank charges and the fact that I only use it to receive the Sanlam Glazier proceeds. I have requested Sanlam to change my banking details to my family trust bank account and Sanlam refused to do this claiming that “under no circumstances may the proceeds be paid into a third party account”. Sanlam informed me that I should open a bank account in my name. I refuse to do that as I already have a bank account in my trust’s name. Sanlam confirmed that they will not pay any proceeds out and keep it until I have opened a bank account in my name, and not in my trust’s bank account. This is totally unacceptable to me and Sanlam refuse to accommodate my request. This is not the way to treat senior citizens! Absolutely disgusting!

Unacceptable service from New World Discount Stores Melyn.
I returned an electric iron UNUSED and in the ORIGINAL packaging within 24 hours after purchasing the item from New World Discount Stores (Menlyn). The manager (Mr Mack Bhima) refused to give me a refund or to credit my card (that was used to purchase the item). He gave me a credit note which is NOT ACCEPTABLE to me. He was rude to me and extremely arrogant. Will NOT RECOMMEND New World Discount Stores to any potential client. Take your business where you as a client is respected and appreciated.
