Please can you stop calling my colleague and I at work, we are not interested in your services. Your sales agents are smooth talkers who aren't totally honest and by this I mean they use ulterior motives to gain access to your place of work, in our case a water business to purchase a bottle of water. The agent then takes so called obligation free cards out his diary and asked us to fill it in with the "promise" of NO phone calls from your company. We can phone when we would like to use obligation free demonstration in our home or office. We have been receiving non-stop phone calls from the agent and other telesales staff within your company.
This a warning to people using Uber and paying with a bank card, please be vigilant. Yesterday I made use of Uber service to visit a friend and again late yesterday early evening back home. Upon getting into the car I gave the driver the OTP verification code which he entered on the app on his phone. On the way home the driver stated that his phone battery had gone flat and wasn't able to charge it as the charging cable was faulty. He asked if I could please continue with directions to my residence, which I did. I was dropped off at 18h05, the original fare amount was R78.51 at time of booking. At 19h55 I received a notification for an amount of R268-34 and a message from Uber asking If I'm ok? I answered yes and asked why? The reply was that my drop off location was further than when I booked, it was in Chloorkop, Edenvale. In reply I reassured them that I was safely at home in Benoni. The total travelling time was 2H07 for me supposedly, this shows that the driver went on a joyride before turning his phone again The driver looked a little different to the profile photo on Uber app as well, was wearing a cap and no spectacles (profile pic showed driver wearing these) however the car and registration matched the details given to me. I have been in contact with their customer care since last night on the app, received some feedback and have heard nothing again. I feel that I should be entitled to receive a refund for the inconvenience and stress this has caused me. Please help me.
