Dreadful service. We were offered a 10 year warranty on our 300l Solar Geyser, which we bought and had installed from them 5 years ago. After over 6 months of fighting with them to replace the geyser, we eventually gave up, shocking and, I'm sure, in a court of law, if I had the money and energy, they would have been sued and forced to honour their warranty. They never phoned back, they kept telling us they would come "next week" and on and on.... don't touch them if you think you'll buy there because of the 'warranty", they have no intention of honouring it !
I have had the most AWFUL experience with Standard Bank Insurance. We had a flood damage claim, small, nothing too major, but it does involve fencing with our neighbours, which is a huge issue for their, and our, dogs. Well, all pictures and a quotation to fix the fence was submitted on 10th May 2019. I have sent 5 or 6 emails to the original name of the contact person as well as copying in SIL Communications (what's that ? Communications? I have heard not one peep from anyone !!!). In desperation, I then wrote to the team leader, again heard absolutely nothing, no acknowledgement, nada. This afternoon I tried sending it to the manager, which email bounced right back so, in desperation, after having tried their call centre twice before, but giving up after a huge long wait, I gritted my teeth and phoned them again. When I eventually got through there was a nice enough person who helped me and he gave me his email address, spelling it out for me as I sat in front of my computer to re-email the pictures (apparently that was what was needed, but they were sent to my original contact on 10th May with the claim, so who knows what happened there !!?) and lo and behold, the emails have all bounced back so I have obviously misheard whatever the spelling was ! I cannot bear the thought of facing that blasted Call Centre yet again, but I suppose I will have to do go through the agonies of it tomorrow as I simply give up today. Shocking, shocking service for a small little flood claim !!! I am extremely disappointed in their customer care.
