Great pre-sales services but extremely bad after sales support which is the most important! My battery went into protection after a long power outage ,thus it required to be reset which only a qualified technician can do. I spoke to a lady by the name of Lindie at Wisolar (where i purchased my solar package) and requested that they send a technician to my house to reset my battery after all the telephonically guidance failed. Its two days later, my battery is still in protection mode (cant charge) and she has ever since ignored my calls as their festive shut down was more important than my issue. As a customer, this is an emergency as i use my solar as back up for power outages, load shedding etc. I guess my money was only as good as the purchase!!!!
I purchased over R1500 worth of purfumes that evaporated the moment you put them on! Useless flavoured water. These guys should be ashamed of themselves plundering the original brand through the mud.
I've been a discovery insure client for the past +6 years. In the early stages of they short term insurance offering, their services, offering and customer services was great. The value add benefits ,especially if you had other discovery products ,was great and it was worthwhile having various products (medical, investments, short term insurance, vitality etc.) across discovery ! The past year has been 'n horrible experience with discovery insurance to say the least. I upgraded my short term insurance from the essential plan to the classic plan ,paid the higher premium so that i don't have to pay any excesses on any claims. I moved from my apartment to a house (different locations - Greenstone to Pomona) ,locked up garage and access control estate with 24/7 security that patrols but they increased my vehicle premiums. Next i upgraded my vehicle to a bigger vehicle( which was the ONLY change requested) and then boom my parents vehicle (in george) premiums also changed, with other items on my policy schedule. Then requested to remove building cover ONLY as we changed to different insurance provider due to change in bond providers - vehicle premiums , house content and few other items on my schedule also changed. Worse part was they now added excesses to my policy without my consent. I worked through a broker (which is also useless),after numerous emails that spanned over weeks, i accepted a quote received by my broker and didnt notice the change in excesses app**** as im sure the broker did check that everything i requested was in order . Logged a windscreen replacement claim last week, to my surprise, i had to pay an excess. Again after numerous emails since last week, i lost that battle. Im beyond disappointed with Discovery insure with the services received. In addition, i used to receive cash backs monthly varying between R500 to R700, lately its a R150 if im lucky! So the cash back offering is just a fluke to lure customers ,not worth it as they changed they reward model! Im definitely looking for a new insurance provider in 2024!

My stepfather had issues with his car. I called discovery insure and requested that they contact him. Problem was , he can only speak Afrikaans????. They then got one of their multilingual consultants by the name of Simon Ngoepe to contact him. Very friendly and helpful gentlemen. I’m really impressed with my services received since I joined discovery insure. Well done!
