I have been banking with this bank all my working years. Had a credit account which took so much from me to close. I kept going back and forth with fnb secure to close it and finally on the 09th of October 2025 I was assisted on secure chat by Rookshana who asked me to pay a further R2372 in order to close the account. I paid and confirmed that i did and Rookshana confirmed that my account is closed and that i will get a closure letter. I never got the letter but the account was removed from my profile. All along i knew my credit card is closed. Today i see the account back on my profile again with a negative balance. Is fnb trying to bleed the poor in to being poorer?? Why was i asked to pay an amount over and above what i saw due on the account and then now again I see i am charged interest on the 29th of October??? When the account was closed on the 09th??? I want nothing to do with this bank.
I am honestly very frustrated with fnb and their agents who do not understand their job!! I have been transferred from agent to agent. I made a reversal of a debit order for the amount of R467.72 debited on 25/07/22 on the fnb which was reversed. On the 10/08/23 it debited again and i was charged an amount of R200 by the bank for that amount being paid and there were not funds on my account. First of all why was the amount debited again after being disputed??? Secondly now that i stopped the debit and reversed it again the bank needs to credit my account of this R200!!! Yesterday fnb charged an amount of R68,25 which i do not understand where it comes from. It was reversed but i was charged R105 for the unpaid item! My account is now sitting at -R356 all for charges that were not even supposed to have gone out of my account!!! Are you people making money out of our poverty even though we pay for your services on top???? I have been using this account for years!!! This is the thanks i get???
I am so frustrated with pick n’ pay and their useless app. I bought groceries and pay the full amount plus a tip to the driver who delivered only some of my purchased items and not all. When the driver delivered he informed us he left other things behind at the store and “MAYBE” they will send someone with the others. This was yesterday in the morning. I spent half my afternoon trying to get through to their customer care who never picked up and was forced to leave a message. Till now nothing from customer care. Finally figured out the store the order came from and called the store - Pick n’ Pay mall of africa. I spoke to Brian who was helpful but i asked him to not send delivery because I wasn’t home and he assured me that it will be sent before the store closed at 20:00. I got back home around 6 and called the store again. The phone was then picked by a gentleman and before i could give him my order number he hung up. I then called again and a lady picked up whom o gave my order number and she promised to get back to me. She never did. I had to call again today and spoke to a guy named Custurd or something like that who took my details. Only now i see my order is being processed on the app!!! This is seriously frustrating and the fact that their app is so useless in assisting with reporting a missing order or items is stupid! I will never ever use this app again!
Thank you Aprix Team for the lovely work you did for us. Our house exceeded our expectations. We are grateful 🙂
FNB states on their pricing that they charge R50 for honouring payment of items less than R50 or equal to R50 and R150 for items more than R50. It's states "items" and not "item" !!! My account as it stands I will be paying FNB more than 50% of transactions they paid on my behalf without even having agreed to them honouring payments for me. This is capitalising on poor people!!! They need to explain why they charge each item R150 instead of items as they state on the pricing they have on the app!!!
From: Mpho Molokoane Sent: 26 June 2019 09:01 AM To: mscps@zonefitness.co.za; debtors28@zonefitness.co.za Subject: Contract cancelation Morning, First of all I would like to express how extremely unhappy I am at how opportunistic Zone fitness is. I signed up for a six months gym contract end of August 2018 with the Pretoria cbd Zone fitness which I assume the contract officially started in September 2018. When the staff called to confirm I expressed that I no longer wanted to continue with the contract and that they should not proceed with it. I was informed that I needed to come and bring back the card and form that I filled in. I have since not been able to due to personal constraints on my part and I accept that the contract continued because I had not gone there to cancel it as I was told. So I paid the term and accept that. What frustrates me the most is the fact that I had been calling all along to enquire on whether I can cancel in any other way than going to the gym personally and in all those times I was told that I need to come there personally. After the term which I assumed was in February, counting from September, I cancelled the debit order with my bank assuming that the contract had ended. No one had the courtesy to contact me and inform me that it will then be on a month to month basis! And then eventually, after getting smses that my account is in arrears, I decide to go and cancel it. When I get there yesterday, the lady at reception informs me that my contract ended end of May. How??????? When it was a six month contract that started in September?!!!!!! And then, the cherry on top, I’m told there is nothing for me to sign and that I should send an e-mail. Do you know how many times I have called these people?????? Now after taking my time to come there you tell me to now send an e-mail???? I paid R935.00 which I could have not paid had your staff informed me the numerous times I have called to cancel that I can simply send an e-mail!!!! See the attached e-mail I had sent as I was desperate to cancel this membership. Cancel my contract effective immediately and explain to me how you are saying my six month contract ended May 2019 when it started September 2019.
