*********** to say the least, POPIA is not big on this companies compliance checks. They call every single day looking for someone I have no idea is, but willing to give me information that he is under debt review. What a way to keep your clients info safe. And then will argue with me that I know the guy? Shame on you!
Dear Defy I just want to advise you as to as how absolutely shocked we are with your product and customer service. On the 28th of November we purchased a fridge from Makro Silverlakes. got home and switched it on, the fridge part was not generating cold air as it should. we went back to Makro to ensure we had everything on the right setting, we were told that it should be on 5 for summer. great, get home changed the settings. after around 5 hours the fridge was still not what it was supposed to be. we then call Makro the next morning to ask where we could bring it back as this is not working and we were in the 7 days on purchase, only to be advised that we cant bring it back as appliances that have been plugged in cannot be returned and we must speak to Defy.. we called Defy and they said someone would come have a look in the week.. 2 weeks later we received a call that someone would be there, back and forth finally we got an appointment with the technician. they had a look and said the motor is not working they have to order it and advise.. after another week they phone after 6 to advise they are there we must open so they can fix it... how on earth can such a big company be so pathetic and unprofessional when making appointments? none the less, we could not help as we were not at home, 1st week in January they can come back. great - the 3rd of Jan they cant assist, made arrangements for the 4th of Jan - no sorry they cant come anymore. fine, made arrangements again for the 5th of Jan - 10am they call and advise they will be at our house soon.. again how on earth are we meant to make proper arrangements!? now we are on the 6th of Jan and they got to as at 8.. only to tell us that the welder is out of gas and they now have to possibly go back to Jhb to get more gas and come back.. do you realize that we also have jobs to make arrangements and take time off work to get this fridge fixed! this is seriously shocking i would like a proper solution to this problem, almost a month and a half no fridge.. R15 000 later.. i hope you are ashamed of this poor service. i will never buy a Defy appliance ever again, and i will tell all my friends and family to stay away.
