I've mistakenly done an EFT payment to this company and they were honest to return the funds. This goes a very long way for me and I will support such businesses going forward. I've also bought laptop parts from them a good few times and so far, I am impressed with their turnaround time and customer service.
I've been using FNB for about 8 - 10 years now and never had an issue until today where I did an ATM deposit. Anyhow, this is how my situation unfolded: I went to the FNB ATM on North Rand Road (Parkplace East Branch) where none of the ATM's were allowing deposits (which is super frustrating). I then took a drive to the dodgy FNB in Benoni Town (Princess Ave Branch) where some of the ATM's were taking deposits... I inserted R6700 into the machine and proceded with the deposit as per the usual process. However, to my surprise, the deposit amount summed up to R5700 and NOT R6700. I realized this only after I completed the entire transaction, unfortunately. The R5700 was successfully deposited, but the remaining R1000 remained in the machine as if nothing was wrong. I am not sure if it was a glitch in the machine or if the ATM was rigged. I can understand if it swallowed a note or 2, but a whole R1000 is super disappointing, especially considering that I am a student. An I.T student who loves tech on top of it :( Unfortunately, there is no way to prove that I inserted R6700 into the ATM. I think it's time for me to migrate anyways. Capitec seems to have more competitive benefits for students.
