Great Customer Service From Kamila at Weltevreden
I had such a lovely experience dealing with Kamila at Truworths Weltevreden in Cape Town. She helped me to send boots that were out of stock from their store to Gauteng. She's got such a nice personality and her laugh brightens up the call. She's got great customer service skills and is very helpful.

Truworths puts disabled customers under duress
Truworths and its call centre staff apply harassment and bullying tactics to their disabled and ill customers. My brother communicated to the call centre that he would like to appoint me as the primary contact for his account since his health has deteriorated due to his disability. The agent at the time (in 2025) confirmed the agreement telephonically(after a lengthy call confirming the update). However, the call centre staff dismissed the instruction from my brother and have continued to harass and abuse him monthly. I’ve asked the call centre staff if there is a missed payment since I made online payments in Jan and Feb 2026, but they aren’t willing to disclose. I am aware of the POPPI act and non-disclosure of client information. However, what alternatives does the business have in place for situations where clients are unwell and the family is willing to pay the account? According to the message received, my brother owes R588. Is this money worth the mental abuse and distress? This business can be sued for forcing unwell patients into binding agreements, this is duress!! The conduct of the Truworths staff is ********* and disregards the disabled community and ill customers in general. Based on the consumer act ALL customers are to be treated with respect and dignity. Truworths clearly thinks it’s above the law and adopts ******ion methods to put disabled/ill customers under duress for payment. The one consultant (Zintle/Zinhle) even asked since when is my brother disabled, I asked her if disabled people are not allowed to apply for accounts with Truworths. This is disgusting and ************** for the disabled!!!!

I purchased a cellphone from Truworths at Vaal Mall last year. After only two months of using the phone, the screen went blue and stopped working. I then returned the phone to the store and paid the required service fee so it could be repaired. When I was later told that the phone was ready for collection, I discovered that the screen was broken. The phone was not in that condition when I handed it in for repairs, which means the damage happened while the phone was in their care. I have already contacted Truworths customer service and sent emails but I have not received any response or assistance regarding this matter. I would like Truworths to explain what happened and take responsibility for the damage to my phone. I am asking for this issue to be resolved urgently.

Bad Online Order System
Truworths online shopping the worst thing that a human being can ever do is to order from Truworths, im so angry words even fail to explain how angry i am, for such a big store that has been operating for more then 10 years and not knowing what to do, so i placed an online order on a Saturday evening, paid for it only to be told on Sunday evening that the order is cancelled due to no stock i mean doesnt the system update i was then told that i will get my refund after 10 working days, to add a cherry on top after a few days later i placed an online order again for a two piece set which was paid for in full only to receive an order with jacket only, mind you its the week for my graduation. Is this the value that yall give to customers after paying a fortunate? Guys never ever order online at Truworths it will ruin your day.

Desperate for Business
Truworths appears so desperate for business that it is willing to open accounts in other people's names just to keep its dying business afloat. I was recently informed by my credit bureau that an account had been opened at Truworths in my name something I obviously never did. This suggests that Truworths is extremely loose and careless when it comes to opening accounts, which is a clear sign of a struggling business. Do not drag me into your failing business. I have nothing to do with Truworths and nothing to do with Truworths. liberately avoid store accounts for exactly this reason- because of companies that operate like this.
