I would like to lay a complaint against the company for false advertising and failing to commit to the service which was promised. I have opened a service and warranty plan and everything was explained in the call and was happy with what I heard. I received the policy documents for both service and warranty plans and read through it thoroughly and understood what is covered in the service plan. Nowhere in the document does it state that I am not eligible for a major service as the first service it only states that the policy is active within 3 months after opening the policy. It only states and i quote: " the policy is a savings plan that enables the servicing of your motor vehicle and covers the manufacturer-specified parts, labour and oil required for the periodic servicing of your vehicle". Also I quote: " the maximum amount payable per claimable occurrence is limited to the number of services purchased as per the manufacturers scheduled service specifications". Nowhere is any of the policy documents does it state i cannot claim a major service. I took the car to Barons and they advised that the car is due for a major service and I specifically took out the policy to assist me if the car needs any service. I have also listened to the recordings which were sent to me and the agent only said I can service my car after the waiting period of 3 months is over and nothing else. I am so disappointed in Auto & General for making promises in order to make sales and when it comes to the point you have to claim they are always looking for excuses not to pay out. I am a loyal client with a lot of different policies. My house, home contents and both my cars are insured with this company and I never failed to make payments. I honestly do not want to cancel my policies but if this is the treatment that I receive then I do not want to do business with the company anymore.
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Auto & General. When I took out a service insurance package, the sales agent clearly promised that the policy would cover a major service as my first service on my vehicle. Based on this assurance, I went ahead and purchased the policy. However, when the time came to claim for the major service, the company refused to pay, saying it wasn’t covered. When I explained that the agent had told me otherwise, they said they would “locate the call recording” to verify what was promised. It’s now been weeks, and despite my follow-ups, no one has gotten back to me or provided any update. This experience feels misleading and unprofessional. I trusted Auto & General based on what their agent said, but now I’m left out of pocket and with no accountability from the company. I would not recommend taking out a service insurance policy with them unless everything is confirmed in writing.
I am very unhappy with the service i have received from old mutual. My house almost burned down last year and i have put in a claim. The roofing of the house was completely removed and replaced. As the winter season is upon us. We discovered the entire house is leaking due to poor workmanship. We cantacted the contractors and they said that we should contact the insurance company and they will give instructions on what should happen. Long story short the agent or assesser that has our claim is unreasonable and disrespectful towards me. I do not want money i just want my roof to be fixed. The assesser that dealt with my claim is Brian Jumat and he now wants me to pay a professional roofing engineer to inspect the roof and pay that money out of my pocket which i do not have. Also remember this is a roof that is new but its leaking my entire property full. I am so unhappy i am a loyal client with a couple of policies with this company and i feel like i want to cancel it cause i am getting treated like this
I would just like to say i am disappointed in the service i have received from one of the agents of this company. His name is Riccardo Zappa he is very unprofessional and disrespectful. He was disrespectful and rude to my husband when my husband raised concerns about the occupational rent that needs to paid to us. Because we didnt get any help from him. We decided to get legal advice and he was swearing at the legal adviser and hung up the phone. I am so disappointed at the treatment i am receiving from this agent and company
I would just like yo share my bad experience. My husband and I are insured with Old Mutual Insure and recently our house sustained damages due to an fire caused by our neighbours and most of our household contents was stolen. We did put in a claim and an assesser has been assigned to us. His name is Brian Jumat and he is not very helpfull at all. He doesnt respond to our whatsapps nor emails or phone calls. Eventually when we got hold of him with a query he was rude and unprofessional towards us. I am seriously dissatisfied with the treatment we are receiving and i am considering cancelling my policy with Old Mutual Insure
I know complaining about Eskom is probably useless , but its worth the try. I am very upset with the fact that i have been without electricity for 4 days straight. I have been calling and logging faults on their website everyday , but to no success. I mean i am a paying customer and they just couldnt care less about service delivery. On top of that the offices are all closed due to Covid 19. So the only choice i have is to call the call centre. All i get from these useless people is reference numbers thats when they eventually pick up the phone. If there is anyone that can assist me to get hold of these people please let me know. I am tired of calling these people already.
I dont know if i am using the right playform to lay a complain against city of cape town municipality. I have tried every avenue but to no success. My husband i moved into our house in 2017 and has been complaining about our water meter that has been faulty. Its 2021 already and still nothing. We have been to every office of city of cape town. All we get is reference numbers claiming the busy investigating. Our water has been estimated ever since we moved into our property and when we laid a complain , we were told just to pay the minimum amount seeing that is not our right water reading. We were told that the account would be placed on hold and would not accrue any further till the matter has been resolved. In the year 2019 my husband received a letter from head office stating that the needs to make arrangement on payment or they will deduct everything from his bonus as he is a city of cape town employee. We went to head office to try to make arrangement, but the staff was rude and illiterate they couldnt even assist us. Bear in mind no arrangement has been made that money can be deducted from his salary and then november came when the city receives their bonuses and they deducted 50% of his bonus. Ever since that they are deducting money of his account every month. Yet nothing has been done about the faulty water meter. City of cape town is the worst on service delivery to our law abiding rates and tax payers. However informal settlements gets unlimited water free of charge. I am disgusted by the service i received from you guys. I would like to know what i can do to get assistance from the city of cape municipality to fix my broken water meter.
My husband and i have a policy with The unlimited for a couple of years already and im very disappointed at the disgusting service we have been offered. We requested them for a call back and they are unable to that, eventhough they are deducting our money every month. I would not recommend anyone to take out any policies from them ever. Hence this is not the first bad encounter with them regarding bad services being offered.
I am so disappointed in the City of Cape Town services. I took ownership of a property in July 2018. Ever since that time I have had issues with my water billing , which has been estimated since last year when I moved in. I have informed them about the situation and they came out to read my water meter and said its faulty. They informed us that the water would be replaced and up until today nothing happened. I have been to the sub council offices more then 20 times already and every time they just have excuses. Either they don't have water meters in place some other lame excuses. I have been making payments every month ever since I moved into this property however my bill is almost at R10 000 a year later. To top it off I received a lawyers letter stating I need to settle my account immediately or the will garnish it of my salary. City of Cape Town your services is pathetic , yet the people in council owned properties and informal settlements don't pay a cent. Seems like we that are private owners need to pay for them as well.
