I am truly shocked by my recent experience with the Pierre van Ryneveld Veterinary Clinic. This is not the first time I've had a negative encounter with them, but this incident takes the cake. I have decided to write a review to share my experience. My female dog underwent sterilization surgery at the clinic on Friday, December 8, 2023. By Saturday afternoon, she began breathing heavily and appeared very uncomfortable. Early Sunday morning (10 Dec 2023), at 12:30 am, she woke me up whining in distress. I noticed that the clinic only opened at 10 am, and I had to ensure her well-being until then. In the meantime, I called another veterinary clinic in Hazeldean (I highly recommend them, as they are extremely friendly) for advice, as they were open at 9 am. They suggested that I return to PVR Clinic since my dog had an operation there. To my astonishment, the PVR Veterinary Clinic charged me a FULL Sunday fee... and provided my dog with just an injection and two pills for pain. I requested a second opinion... because it didn't make sense to charge me for a follow-up consultation, especially considering their discharge instructions explicitly state, "Call immediately" if your dog exhibits any adverse symptoms. The second veterinarian I consulted who is in Silverton (to get a second option) called PVR, and inquired if they did specific tests, such as, urine testing and ultrasound, to which PVR responded with, "No, we did not perform urine testing, and the ultrasound machine is currently undergoing maintenance." It became clear that they had done nothing substantial for my dog but still charged me R949 for the consultation. As a deeply frustrated and angry client who was just trying to ensure my dog's well-being and determine if any mistakes had been made or if there were complications, I am absolutely, incredibly dissatisfied with their service! I will absolutely not be returning to their clinic!!! It is beyond disheartening; it's infuriating how they appear completely indifferent to the welfare of people's pets! I wholeheartedly and vehemently recommend considering Hazeldean Family Vet or Garfontein Animal Clinic instead! My experience at PVR Veterinary Clinic was nothing short of a complete and utter shock! It was overwhelmingly disappointing! I genuinely hope people take notice of this review!!! Btw... do something about your receptionist ladies some are extremely rude.

Takealot customer service is useless. I had no other way to rate their services than on hellopeter. First of all they take forever to deliver your parcel. Two times in a row it was more that 5 working days. My first order the packages was so mishandled. I also got a broken eye shadow makeup that they didn't even refund as they promise on their website. One of my items primary packaging was also open. With my second order I wanted to change the delivery address but there was no way to change it. Then I got a sms saying that my parcel will be delivered on that day that I received the sms. Obviously I did not receive anything that day so I called their customer care line (3 times) the next day. The lady was very friendly and told me she will find out and let me know why my parcel wasn't delivered but never came back to me. Luckily she did mentioned that their third party Courierit should deliver it. Later that day I decided to take matters in my own hands and made TWO phone calls to find out where my parcel is. I then drove to pick it up myself since I could not wait to receive it on the day the they later told me it will arrive since I was on holiday at that specific address that I used. If someone wants to know who the customer care line lady is from Takealot I'll gladly give her name to you. Really...unless service can't be delt with especially for such a big company like Takealot.
