I purchased a TV from Takealot but unfortunately there was an issue with the sound after a month a so. I requested a replacement and it was delivered within a few days. Really excellent service in spite of the fact that I did not have the original packaging. I have been dealing with Takealot for several years now and this was the first time I had to return something but the entire experience has been nothing but a pleasure. Definitely 5 stars
I ordered 2 chairs from Russells online in April 2025 & delivery was supposed to be done within 10 - 15 working days. In spite of receiving an email from a very confused employee from Customer Care who clearly didn't know the difference between DELIVERY TIME & PRODUCTION TIME, delivery was initially supposed to take place on the 13th May 2025. The delivery date was subsequently changed to the 11th May 2025. However, when the delivery was done, only ONE chair was delivered. I tried emailing the Customer Care department but my emails were returned unsent. I then contacted the Customer Care department telephonically on the 14th May 2025 and, still without any sort of explanation being forthcoming, I was advised that the matter was being referred to the Warehousing Division and I was to wait for a response from them. Such appalling service in this day and age is almost beyond belief. I've seen ****a shops that operate more efficiently. The indifferent attitude displayed by the employees are shocking to say the least. It was all well and good for them to accept payment in full but now there is a deathly silence from Russells. Not surprising as they have breached the agreement by not completing the full delivery within their own time frame. Save yourself unnecessary stress and tension, AVOID DEALING WITH RUSSELLS and rather find another furniture store that will treat you with the respect you deserve as a paying consumer.
App**** for my Smart I D in August 2024. Haven't received any sms acknowledging my application. Numerous telephone calls later, was advised that my card had been despatched to the Pavilion Home Affairs branch on the 12th December 2024 . Was advised to wait for 2 weeks & then go to collect. Went in today, no card! Then contacted the Customer Centre - apparently I must wait for an sms informing me that I can go and collect. The irony is that my daughter who app**** at the same time as I did, never received any sms as well but her card was ready & collected today. Home Affairs is a joke with no one prepared to take responsibility.
Over the last few months, I have cancelled my 3 contracts with Cell C. In spite of this, I have continued to receive calls from then to renew the last of my contracts in spite of it actually being cancelled. This morning I received a call from one Natalie with regards to the same issue. As I was informing her that she was the FIFTH person to contact me to renew a cancelled contract, she had the audacity to TERMINATE THE CALL, with me in mid sentence. I wish I could say I was surprised but unfortunately my dealings with Cell C tell a different story. Despite a major rebranding exercise, Cell C remains very much a company under financial strain and with the calibre of staff like Natalie, it is surely only a matter of time before the inevitable happens.
I placed an order with Medq Medical Supplies who are apparently based in Johannesburg, South Africa, some two weeks ago. I received an email advising that my order had been received and was being processed. After receiving no further feedback, I was finally able to make telephonic contact with them, albeit on a cell number. I was then asked to send a screenshot of the email, via WhatsApp, I had received with the understanding that I would, at the very least, get some sort of response. To date, there has been nothing but a deathly silence. I am now starting to wonder if Medq are totally above board and a legitimate business. Surely it cannot take this long to process an order. Luckily no payment has been made. If anyone else has dealt with them , whether good or bad, I would really be interested in hearing about your experience with them. This entire experience has left me totally bewildered and confused.
I recently purchased ready to lay grass from Evangrass who are based in Camperdown, KZN. How refreshingly wonderful it is to deal with professional people who, not only know their product, but go out of their way to accommodate you as a client. To Tammy & the team, well done. Makes me sad that I don't have any more areas to lay grass!!! Definitely highly recommended especially in this day & age of poor customer service. A breath of fresh air - keep it up.
I purchased a Defy fridge for R13 000 from Bradlows online via layby. I managed to pay the entire amount including R350 for delivery within a month & diligently sent proof of payments as requested. When some time had past with no feedback, I then emailed the online division & after a few days was advised that there was no stock in Durban (apparenly there was 1 fridge but it was damaged - whether this is true or not, I cannot say) but that stock was being sourced from the Kokstad warehouse. With further excuses ranging from being unable to contact me & there being a problem with my delivery address (???), I was finally contacted at 10am on Saturday, 19/06/2021 & advised that delivery would be done between 4 & 5pm on that day. When, surprise surprise, no delivery was done by 5:30 pm, I contacted the relevant person who undertook to contact the delivery driver & revert. I was advised that the vehicle delivering the fridge had experienced mechanical issues & had had it's clutch replaced. The driver then advised me, at about 6pm that he was on route from Port Shepstone. Lo & behold, and true to form, when he arrived at my premises at 8:45pm it was WITH THE WRONG FRIDGE. A bar fridge was sitting proudly at the back of the vehicle, most certainly not the double door fridge I had purchased. It is beyond incredible the shocking level of incompetence I have been subjected to by Bradlows. As things stand, I have made a request for a full refund of all the monies I've paid as well as interest, because they were quite content to keep my money in their bank account for nearly 2 weeks whilst I was expected to simply fold my hands & wait. Surely a script of COMEDY CENTRAL proportions. I will update this review once I receive any sort of feedback/excuses from Bradlows. As for me, I will never purchase anything from any of their stores and I advise anyone thinking of doing so, to take heed of my experience. Clearly they don't need my business & I will gladly oblige.
If I could give this business 0 stars I would! The owner, Keith Peter, took my R7000 deposit for a garage door & absconded without delivering the service as promised. I went the legal route but he has abandoned his previous place of work in Clairwood, Durban, South Africa. No surprises there. Please people, be aware of this con man who will steal your hard - earned money. If anyone knows where he can be found, kindly let me know as I have also laid a criminal charge against him.
A while ago my car was giving me endless problems. After trying numerous mechanics, I was referred to Kay of KST Auto. Within a week, my vehicle was as good as new and to date I have not had a problem with it. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service I received & the excellent workmanship as well. Definitely worth referring. Keep it up.
They constantly advertise special discounts which are only available on their website. However, more times than not they don't have stock so one cannot make use of the discount being offered. The other issue is their "Decollect" facility which allows you to make an online purchase & collect from the store. However, only the Cape Town store is a collection point so people like me, who don't live in Cape Town, cannot make use of this service. Their staff in the Springfield store could not shed any light or be of any assistance, nor did they respond to my email query. Makes me wonder what the point of offering special offers online if there is no stock & you cannot collect from tbe store nearest to you.
