I am in my entire working life with a single successful uif claim from when I was dismissed from work in 2022 September 2nd having been employed for 18 months. I have now been in the epwp contract for a year and the contract has expired in August 2025... I am now unable to claim my uif successful due to some section 16(6) which states that an employee ought to have worked for 4 consecutive years to can make a claim. Labour department acted in negligence for allowing year long contracts to be in place whereas they were debating uif contributions from the entire employees who were in the below minimum wage category with the anticipation of making a successful claim for uif benefits. This whole process is a **** by the labour department because they have failed to protect employees from the insecure jobs and yet took uif contributions only to reject claims with statutes and clauses unknown to the workers. I personally have been working since 1999 to 2017 without a claim for having absconded from Makro, resigned from Shoprite having been injured in the workplace and no intervention was made by the labour department to enforce ppe wearing as was the best prevention for a loaded pallet jack rolling on my big right toe in my casual shoes. A week upon the resignation I had a torn ligament in my left ankle that rendered me incapacitated and on crutches for 2years 2017 12th July... 2020 to 2022 is the only uif claim that was successfully paid because previous claims were rejected for resignation and the one expired from capacity staff delaying the submission to labour after I had worked for 3 days. I perceive the department of labour as a deterrent that fails the very very labour force that looks to it for protection and compensation of benefits anticipated. Who is benefited by the entire contributions to the unemployment insurance fund if they are only paying for the previous five years of service??? Exploitation, embezzlement and deception with a false sense of security.
I saw the standard for deli and butchering in shoprite stores to be highly unhygienic for the staff is not wearing any gloves when handling the meats and food. I have only bought a piece of cheese to quench a craving and I could perceive the oudor of a person while consuming the snack, which I did return and was refunded. On one episode I sensed some salty slimming portion from the cream doughnut I had bought, my mindset thinking it tasted like phlegm prompted me to return it to the store with a complaint and was refunded also. Such violations are appalling to the consumer with risks of contact with ailments and new emerging diseases. I will be happy if health inspections are not biased or bribed to safeguard fair, honest, ethical transparency in the shoprite hygiene compromise.
Good day. I am interested in more information about the repeat airing of your program in which my late father Humphrey Matlala KGANAKGA is featured as Malome Letsogwana, Tsokotla's uncle alongside the late Podu Mamabolo. I am the son of the late H.M Kganakga and would love to have a fare share of what is due to us as the deceased descendants in the late estate undertaking. My father's estate is currently held by Snyman De Jagger attorneys based in Dooringpoort, Centurion. Kindly advise on the above. Good day. I'm seriously grieved by the scenario in the workplace as a former incumbent of Guard4Sure security services as follows. 1. Occupying a hospital security tender for 7 consecutive years. 2. Non compliance with the pension funds laws, a majority of the employees don't have provident funds contributions debited from their salaries, for those it's deducted from the contribution is not updated with SALT timeosly. 3. Non compliance with the SARS paye, no tax deduction on payslips resulting in SARS imposing a fine against me for non compliance submitting tax returns. 4. Non compliance with their own employment contract for the reliever security guards, failure to honour sick leave payments, non compliance with the coida for occupational hazards and injuries on duty and not awarding annual leave with pay or family responsibility leave for the most employees. 5. Debiting medical scheme money from employees salaries without rendering the funds to the affinity medical scheme, R150 monthly contributions. 6. Retaining excess of 200 employees as relievers in the workplace while depriving them of the privileges of any development or job security. 7. Over working of reliever security guards without any overtime wage adjustments. 8. ************ of employees who are assertive to voice out their concerns in respect of the above to the point of a constructive dismissal or unfair dismissal from their workforce. 9. Bribery to most authorities to retain the certificate of good standing is the company's culture. 10. Predisposing of security guards to diseases in the workplace and risks of mental disorder patient attacks without any cover is a daily reality, a guard almost lost a finger upon getting bitten by a psyche patient, another got stabbed with used syringe resulting in infections setting in his system and I got to block a metal mop attack to my head from an aggressive patient. I have been contracted as reliever for Gaurd4Sure since October 2020 till September 2022 and only upon dismissal from the workplace was I able to make a ccma claim towards my overtime, unpaid sick leave including Covid quarantine, family responsibility leave for the demise of my sister and annual leave days...
I sawban advert of jobs in NMW Rosslyn plant with links that don't open with a phone number of some Mr Maroge. 065873683 & 0663705179. My sister called on my behalf and the guy requested a R2500 fee to secure the job... She negotiated for a reduced initial payment of R500 which the guy agreed to and requested the payment into a PEP Store money market. I could sense that something is wrong and liedb to the gentleman that I've made the deposits. To that he was eager to have me quote his phone number on the transaction as my own and I was only to give the pinbto him upon signing the contract of employment. Luckily PEP was offline and I was prompted with the option of depositing into a banking account or Shop rite money transfer. I did the shop rite R500 and upon calling him on the interview day he's instruction is for me to be at the plant gate no sooner than the set time... Like he's my escort or plant security or owner . . . I am decided not to pitch for the guy because my gut feeling upon reading the above article overrides the desperation for employment. I am man of 43 and should exercise more caution instead of being some gaulible prey to scammers.
