Hanli, the owner is an angel. Offering accommodation at very short notice when we had a breakdown and letting us stay until all the breakdown and towing issues were resolved at no extra cost. That is going above and beyond, one does not find this very often these days.
After being absent from Sedgefield for some months, we returned for a few days. A visit to Sedgefield always includes a steak night at Rosies Steak Bar (because that's what they do - steak!). After we booked we heard that the restaurant has changed ownership and was therefore very apprehensive! We need not have worried! The steak was excellent - as always. Not surprising, as the new owner was previously a staff member. Rosies will remain on our must do list when in Sedgefield!
An incredible experience. plan to take the rest of the day off after this gastronomical feast.
Great steaks, great service, rounded off by those delicious homemade "melktertjies"
Not only the best steaks (two night's in a row) but the most incredible and friendly service as well. Definitely worth a visit, or two as the case was, when in Sedgefield.
Good, wholesome food at a good price. Anisa, the waitress, was most attentive and friendly throughout, making three rather elderly people feel comfortable and welcome throughout.
From the moment we booked to the moment we walked out the service was excellent, friendly and most efficient. Magnificent ambience, magnificent food. (Hot tip : try the Gorgonzola Pasta!)
I truly believe this was one of the most wonderful restaurant experiences I have ever had. From the moment I set foot in this renovated little side street house turned restaurant, Annie and the staff were magnificent in their attention. I do not think there could be friendlier people in Oudtshoorn. The Ostrich Carpaccio starter was absolutely wonderful and actually more than enough to serve as a whole meal for a light lunch. The stuffed cordon bleu was incredibly tasty, but defeated me. I certainly will be back.
The computicket website and purchasing system for on-line viewing must be the poorest in the whole world. You buy the ticket on-line, pay for the ticket, but when it comes to the viewing you get mired down in passwords not being accepted (even though you know the password is correct, it having been stored in auto password recognition). You then request that they send you a new password. Then they do not recognise the new password and or e-mail address, ad infinitum. When you attempt contacting them in the dialogue box they so courteously provide, they ignore you point blank. Poor indeed
Mr Delivery in Muizenberg must have the poorest staff operating their orders received. Even though a clear request was given for a delivery time, as the recipient is an essential worker, they went ahead helter skelter. When phoned the dispatcher did not want to listen to any teason, even when asked to only deliver the order later, even though it will be cold by then. She actually became downright rude. When a supervisor phoned a bit later, the same happened, even to the extent of having the phone put down halfway through the discourse. As I live in another city, I was forced to order through Mr Delivery again, having to order a second meal from another restaurant as the original closed for orders for the day. I have no idea whether the original meal was thrown away, eaten by staff or given to a homeless person. I hope the latter.
