We had tables made by Modern Edge Carpentry, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing, their slogan : Built with integrity, innovation and hands on expertise is a lie. Despite confirming multiple times that our requirements could be met, the final product was substandard. Some tables were delivered with water damage, are unstable, and do not align or level properly when placed together — with noticeable height differences, making them unusable as a set. Communication has been extremely poor. We’ve been trying to resolve these issues for over 6 weeks, with repeated promises not honored. Agreed fix dates have been moved or missed entirely without any communication, and even basic requests (such as images) have been very difficult to obtain. We were also forced to compromise on the chair color after full payment was made, as we were then informed the original stock was no longer available. Overall, commitments were not met, and the final product is not fit for purpose. As the wood on some of the table has started splitting. Based on this experience, we would not recommend working with this company. We delt with the Owner Henk Robertson.
Going to Makro is generally a pretty tiering experience, however the staff that are customer facing make it so much worse when they are rude and all round disrespectful. I was at the liquor store and went to pay for my goods. When greeting the cashier saying "Hello Ma-am" with enthusiasm in my voice is was met with being ignored completely. I thought she did not hear me so I tried again and was met with the same response. I was quite shook because I didn't understand why the nasty attitude, so I asked, and again ignored. My stuff was rang up she pointed at the card machine and paid. At this point I tried to understand what I did to offend her maybe my merely being there was upsetting I don't know. I'm well aware that Makro Strubensvalley will do nothing about this. I think I'm just venting and wish they'd address these types of challenges. Personally this was a last for me I will not give them money to get treated terribly.
What an absolute joke. Not worth the time it’s taking to write this. All I need to do is activate my new bank card. I have been to the branch 4 times only to be told that I need to call Premier banking, when calling Premier banking I’m told I need to go to the branch. I have no idea what to do anymore I can’t access the money I work for and they can’t/won’t help me as a 15 year client it’s slightly annoying to go through this now. Maybe they have become to technical for their own good. I am definitely considering moving to another, probably better bank in the near future.
Would give this disrespectful company a 0 if I could. Their drivers have no consideration for traffic as they just park in the road and make no effort to park stop their bus in the allocated bus stop area. This forces other road users to drive in the on coming traffic lane. Pitty they are a mode of public transport with the slogan "passenger safety is our passion" because judging by their drivers behavior this seems to be a lie.
