Big Al’s Eco Park has to have some of the most unprofessional staff out there. The lady taking orders was on her phone with her boyfriend (connected via Bluetooth to the store’s speaker) the whole time I was there- from making the order to when my order was ready for collection! We all had to listen to her conversation with her boyfriend. You’d think the looks of disapproval on our faces would have stopped her. Nope. Sis carried on with her blushing-self while simultaneously getting annoyed with us for disturbing her call by making our silly orders lol! Ya neh, professionalism is a myth there by Big Al’s Eco Park!
Hello Peter. I recently made an online purchase of a fridge from Makro. I selected the easy pay method, however it was taking too long to link up with my mobile banking app so I rounded up the amount due and made payment manually, from my banking app. I immediately thereafter called the online support department to explain what had happened, and for them to pleae confirm whether or not they had received payment. I furnished the rep with the necessary online order number which thankfully, had already been generated during the online purchase, however the payment process was not completed because the easy pay method was taking too long and I resorted to paying manually as explained herein above. I explained this to the rep and asked me to furnish her with the proof of payment. I did. Since then I've been calling and forwarding emails to Makro to follow up on my purchase and when I can expect delivery. Each attempt has been met with silly excuses or zero response. I then asked my bank to recall the sum of money which I transferred to Makro and I was later informed that the recall was unsuccessful, as Makro's bank will not give back the funds. I then called Makro's online department again to enquire, and I was told that the funds have been received but not yet allocated. I told the rep that I had had enough and just wanted my money returned to me. She said she would speak to accounts and revert to me. It is 3 days later and I am still waiting for my money to be returned to me. Overall, it is more than a month later since the online purchase and I am still waiting for a fridge and/or my money back. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. If they won't give me my fridge, why are they still sitting with my money?! Stop being dodgy and give my money back.
