Great service well explained and cleaned up nicely
NO after sales service .Two windows leak , dents in several frames , some windows cannot be closed easily. No supervision during installation. Promises made , conveniently forgotten. Had to cause a fuss to have poor plaster work fixed. Would not recommend them.
After having to contact Maxidor yet again who promised to reinstall my burglar bars between 11th and 15 Jan which they failed to do and then promising to contact the Cape Town branch on the following Monday which they failed to do, I had to call in at the Cape Town branch myself to discover the manager knew nothing about my problem. I explained to him what had to be done. Lo and behold they arrive to install 3 burglar bars that had already been installed. I was told that equipment that was needed would have to come form Joburg. I complained yet again to management .There was no response. Instead an apology came from a lower ranked staff member as top management appeared to not care. In the meantime vendors needing to install blinds and a window must be asked again to wait while Maxidor fumbles along.NO COMMUNICATION
I wouldn't recommend anyone in Cape Town uses Maxidor to install any security related fitting. I had burglar bars made by Maxidor years ago, service was good. But now Oct /Nov 2020 I had to remove the bars to have new windows installed, plus 3 new burglar bars installed.To date 17.12.2020 after numerous phone calls ,complaints and e mails the 3 new bars were finally fitted and the old bars partially fitted badly by a non Maxidor installer who wasn't sure what he was doing. I am told nearly the whole of the Cape Town branch resigned ,fed up with Maxidor, hence no service in Cape Town. I now receive an e mail telling me they will only contact me next year. In the meantime my house is not secure.
Takealot Bellville don,t seem to have much concern for potential customers.Its been 6 weeks since one of their couriers ( a foreign national with no licence disc or number plates ) crashed into the back of of my car, a car my wife and I saved for my retirement.While promising to have my car repaired ,Takealot did nothing. I have not heard from Takealot Bellville for 6 weeks. I forwarded all relevant documentation to their broker.I phoned Takealot head office Cape Town,more promises ,to date still driving a damaged car. Seems litigation might be the only answer.
