The worst part of renovating our kitchen has been the constant fault with the new Smeg cooker we purchased in April 2025. The cooker arrived faulty, meaning it was poorly manufactured. The fault was first noted when the gas installation was attempted. Instead of replacing the faulty cooker Smeg and Tafelberg Furnishers and Happy Appliances insisted on fixing it. 6 months later I reported a fault with the very same cooker plate, and again they would not replace the unit. They insist on doing repairs. Best thing is, Happy appliances technicians just pitch up at our house following instruction from their employer, while not one person makes contact with us to arrange. Oh wait, they might phone when they’re on their way over, as if we are expected to be home at all times and don’t have jobs. Worst experience of our entire kitchen renovation.
