Pleasant, kind and patient with me. Thank you for your time
In April, my father was prescribed a necessary breathing apparatus for life threatening sleep apnea, the apparatus will be supp**** by Eco Med funded by Momentum. The response time to supplying my father's apparatus has been 9 weeks and counting since prescribed by our cardiologist after my father had a TIA and ongoing heart issues and suffers with extreme sleep apnea which has made this machine absolutely necessary for his survival. This delay could cause him to pass away in his sleep and it is pathetic that Momentum is not phased that this delay could cost him his life! We have submitted all necessary paper work to Momentum and Eco Med and the ball is in your court. We will take legal action should the delay of this process lead to his demise. The following communication was received from Eco Med: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We took the time to follow the timeline from receiving the application up to date. We received the application for Dr. Haroon Mia rooms on 08.04.2025, on the same day, we submitted the application to Momentum for authorization. We followed up with Momentum on the progress of the authorization on the 11.04.2025 to which they requested the sleep study and CPAP report with the practice number of the Dr. Mia. We had informed the medical aid that the application was submitted with the letter for motivation from Dr. Mia. After numinous calls with the medical aid, by the 08.05.2025 the medical aid had then requested for all documentation to be stamped by Dr. Mia. We then made contact with Dr. Mia's rooms to assist in stamping all documentation the same day. Once we received the stamped documents on the 12.05.2025, we re-submitted to the medical aid. On the 15.05.2025 the medical aid then requested a summarized report from Dr. Mia, to which we again made contact on the same day. Today we received the summarized report from Dr. Mia's rooms and have re-submitted once again. We pride ourselves on customer service and always try our best to make the process as smooth as possible, however we cannot always control third parties in situations like this, we do advise you to make contact with Momentum to speed up the process. From Ecomed, we would like to apologies for the delay, but rest assured we are working hard to ensure we receive the authorization as soon as possible. Should you require any further information regarding the above, please feel free to contact our Head Office CPAP Department: ********** ext. 232 Kind regards, Ecomed Medical

I recently moved my transaction account over from FNB to Discovery and closed my FNB account in confidence. However I still do have a credit card with FNB. After many calls to Discovery Bank to set up a payment to my credit card (public recipient), the call centre told me to simply add them as a beneficiary. It turns out that Discovery does not yet have approval to do such payment to FNB. How can a bank open and function with some transactions being impossible to make? I am now unable to make payments to my credit card, resulting in late payment fines etc, and Discovery cannot tell me when this issue will be resolved.
