Juanita van Niekerk is a superstar. After wanting to cancel my policy I had a call from her and she changed my mind immediately because she was kind and understood why I wanted to cancel. I'm happy to report that because of her, I am still a Platinum Life policy holder. Wonderful customer service π π π π
I signed up for R49 and when the transaction was processed it was R212. I did not enter the pin to finalize payment, as I was not willing to pay the R212. However, it was processed. I immediately contacted them to cancel and also got the bank to reverse the payment. This happened in June 2023 and now I am getting emails to inform me to pay R1500 from their collections department. I have responded, but don't get any replies. I will have to get legal representation. Luckily I have my email that I sent immediately to cancel. I am shocked at the threatening emails. What business operates in this manner?

I applied for a consolidation loan on the 30th Jan '23. Provisionally approved. Had a call from a consultant on the 3rd Feb '23 informing me that I was declined due to an adverse ITC REPORT of a certain Creditor. I advised the consultant that I was never in arrears with the mentioned Creditor. She advised to get some clarification and I sent Statements of the Creditor and an email re the 'arrears' issue. I emailed Credit Admin on several occasions to enquire about the status of the application and had no response. Today I called the call centre and was advised I am declined. Well, I just want to say to ABSA that I have been a client since June 2004 and this is not the way you treat your clients. No decency to call and make further recommendations as to how we can resolve this ITC ADVERSE report that I know for a fact is not due to non payment. I advised that this Creditor processed their Debit Order late in FEB 2022 and it was not due to my negligence. I am so disgruntled right now, that after being a client for almost 20 years you are given such bad service.
