I'm writing this on behalf my 85 year old Mom, Mrs. MJM Blignaut, Policy Number GT0225626X5. You just paid her 'Spesiale Bonus' (That she was very much looking forward to!) into our sister's bank account, Mrs. J G*****!!! How on earth, in this day and age, with the strict FICA requirements did you manage to pay her money into a 3rd party's bank account?

I want to be clear, I am not giving this business the five stars but rather to the employee by the name of Cherelle Bosch for her effort, caring and excellent service in doing whatever she can to resolve a complaint I lodged with the branch that undertook the burial and the tombstone of my mother-in-law. The complaint was in respect to a broken down and very costly tombstone due to poor workmanship. When I lodged the complaint at the beginning of the year with the branch in question, it was totally ignored, thinking it would simply go away. Three months later I decided to threaten them with legal action and only then did they respond by referring me to Cherelle who is currently going out of her way to resolve this problem. She is an asset to this organisation for she is the reason why I have not proceeded with legal action. Thank you Cherelle.

Good morning I received my payslip today,and to my surprise I see Avbob debiting money from my persal almost R300 so what I would like to know is who gave you my persal cause I don't have any policies with you guys on top of that you debiting but I do not have any policy documents or policy number for that matter,I wil not leave this here,next il be contacting my attorneys,I need proof that I opened anything with you guys along with my signature where I approve the policy in the meanwhile can I have my installments that I paid can I have it back and cancel this thing cause I never took anything with you,hope to hear from you

My sister had 2 funeral policies at Avbob and sadly passed on on the 01/02/2026. We went to claim and submitted all required documents and the first payment paid. So sinceit was an accidental death so initially it is suppose to be double payout. We then learned that the second payment will be made by the head office after they have done relevant investigations. We call and give the relevant information to the consultant and we are made to wait and listen to the nonsensical advertising that will go on and till the line drops. I called even today and recieved the same treatment.

I am very disappointed with the service I received from Grahamstown Branch ,I had a deceased repatriated from Caledon for a file to be closed in order to receive the money it took a call to the Head Office and the lady who was on conference call with me (client), and Caledon Branch was so defensive telling me about internal processes which were none of business ,I received the money on Friday afternoon ,the funeral was on Saturday ,The only thing I commend is that Caledon guy's attitude ,he took accountability and made a follow up since day one

Avbob dissointed me big time. My policy was due for cashback on the 1 of March 2026. I app**** for the cashback on the self service portal and uploaded all the required documents..... I got no correspondence from avbob about them receiving the claim.... Today I then get a sms that my policy is due for cashback claim and that I must apply.... What I don't understand is that why am I getting this sms when I already app**** for the cashback. When I call the call center they don't answer and when they do the call is ended abruptly.. I've sent countless emails with the documents bt still silence... I am deeply concerned with the service because I am asking myself what will I do when there's a funeral, am i going to get this service also... Even today I tried calling thier call center and their head office bt my call is ended abruptly.. Avbob must address this issue
