From valet parking, to check in, to the actual room, the service was impeccable. On arrival, I was proud that people still focus on customer service in South Africa as it usually lacks in most industries. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a great sleep. The next day, we went to breakfast and the breakfast room was far from full (we went early). We were seated, it took a long time before the waiter came to get our order and once our order was placed, we waited almost an hour for it. No one at our table got the eggs the asked for (hard, sunny side up, medium) etc I waited 30 minutes for my toast and had to complain to the manager in order to expedite it. When it arrived, all I had left on my plate were tomatoes so I didn't eat it. The entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth as I could tell that we were not the only guests who were left less than happy. It is unbelievable that such a great establishment cannot get breakfast right and in the end, it ruined my stay.
I had electric fences installed. My entire experience from start to finish was seamless. They (Natasha) constantly kept in contact with me, they gave me a very good price without me asking (I got comparative quotes) and when I raised a concern about one wall not having sufficient coverage, they came in and put extra fencing up at no charge. I would recommend Peri Secure to sort out all your electric fence needs. They are extremely professional and they get the job done at a good price and in a great time frame. It is very rare that businesses actually fulfill their promises and focus on customer service.
A few months ago, I had a gate installed by Kays Automatic gates. I dealt with Gary who was extremely professional. Until this day, if I have a problem with my gate, I contact Gary and he sends someone out with in the hour at no charge. I will definitely use their service again and highly recommend them.
I would just like to commend Audi Claremont, namely Nigel for hes fantastic service. He kept me up to date regarding my vehicle and called me at the times promised. My car was sorted out in a reasonable time frame and Nigel went the extra mile with all my requests. Good service is very rare. Well done Nigel!
I have had such a bad experience with Maxidor Belville. I have a roller shutter door. I dealt with Ian who is the sales agent, he was great and then another Ian came to install the shutter door. The shutter door was installed scew and wouldn't run smoothly on the rails when going down. I called the office about 3 times and finally spoke to Janine who arranged for a installer to come a few days later. The installer came and took videos and wrote a report and then I heard nothing for the next few days. I called Maxidor again and Janine said that the installer no longer works there and a few teams have quit and they are under pressure. She also said that the installer was meant to fix the door the day that he came out. I was very understanding and asked for a date that my shutter door would be fixed. Janine who is receptionist couldn't give me an answer and kept on saying that she would need to speak to the manager (Quentin.A from the Belville branch). The manager was always in meetings and she constantly promised to call me back and never did. I called almost every day for the next 2 weeks. At one stage I was told that they could schedule a technician to come out in a months time and inderstandably, I didnt accept this option. O asked for Quentin to call me back on numerous occasions and he never did. I started putting pressure on Janine last week Thursday to which she sent me an email advising that they would have a reasonable solution in the next 24 hours and will contact me. Almost a week later, no one has contacted me and I had to call again. This time, I spoke to Janine who then passed on the phone to Liesl. J who supposedly works under Quentin. A (Manager) ans Liesl couldn't give me a solution either and just kept on apologizing. I have never come across such bad customer service from a reputable company and neither have I come across a manager who completely avoids talking to clients and expects the receptionist to handle complaints. My issue is yet to be resolved a month later, I am still sitting with a dysfunctional shutter door and I have called this company at least 20 times this past month with no solution.
<div>We were looking for a reputable contractor and we thought that we found one when Dial a contractor put us into contact with the CEO of H20 group pty Ltd. He came to us with a great presentation and a long list of all inclusive value adds such an architect, interior design services, an engineer and a 3D visual of our renovation. It all sounded pretty amazing and the great news was that he was able to execute everything that we wanted within our budget. Long story short, we were encouraged to sign a contract with their company and a 30% of the total build cost was requested. It all sounded pretty reasonable. He even went as far as saying that they use their money to build and then you refund them because they have wealthy investors in Nigeria. We were also promised that our building plans would be expedited and it would be approved within 30 days as they had "contacts" at the council. Our plans took about 3 months to be approved and the build was forecasted to take 20 weeks. 7 months later, little to no work was done, the deadline passed and in that period, we were asked to pay top up deposits. Not being in the construction industry, I was not aware that the value of the work done thus far did not equate to the payments that they were requesting. 3 or 4 payments later, we were R500 000 deep into the project which was almost half of the quoted amount and only about 10% of the project was completed. We were constantly given false promises and lame excuses for the delay. When I would make a fuss, he would send a few guys to work for a few hours and then take them to another site and then I wouldnt see anyone for days or up to a whole week. I decided to cancel the contract. It was almost a year after it all began, I had a house that we couldn't live in and there was no light at the end of the tunnel because the workers showing up wasn't consisted and at times they would be here but had no materials so nothing got done anyway. After cancelling the contract, a quantity surveyor advised that only about R100 000 of the work was done however, **** maintained that he didn't owe me any money as they did work to the value of R500 000. We had to bring in a new construction company to redo some of the badly done work and they advised that it would be impossible to complete the build for the amount quoted as Dustin under quoted me by at least 50%. I got a second opinion who echoed the fact that my build was grossly under quoted most likely to get the contract and it would be impossible to complete the build according to the appproved plan within my budget. Not only did I lose all the money paid to H20 for work not completed, I had to pay another contruction company a large amount of money to finish my renovation. Please be aware when selecting a contruction company to do your renovation and don't pay money in advance. Get more than one quote and don't go for the cheapest most appealing quote. Make sure the company has an active website. Ask for client references and and look for reviews.</div>
I was looking for a reputable contractor and stumbled across Dial a contractor. I made use of their services and they sent me the contact details of Dustin Emile Permall from H2o group pty Ltd (also know as H20 consult/construction). Long story short, they hounded me since the contractor was appointed asking me for proof of payment made, confirmation or services rendered (as they get a cut of the total amount quoted by the contractor and paid by the client) Long story short, the contractor, Dustin Emile Permall from H2o group basically siphoned R530 000 out of me. They did 20% of the total build and a quantity surveyor confirm that they did just over R100 000 in work. He is not willing to return the rest of my money even though I've cancelled my contract with them because of many many lies/excuses/being misled etc. I have since sent a lengthy complaint to Dial a contractor as I know of 3 clients who experienced the same issue with H2o group. Their money was basically taken and nothing has been done and they have all gotten H2os details from Dial a contractor. I requested dial a contractor remove Dustin Emile Permall from their referral list as they are referring a contractor knowing that he is doing people in. I have sent an email to Richard and Peter (managers who deal with complaints) weeks ago and I havent recieved any feedback or acknowledgement of my complaint. I keep contacting Jane from Dial a contractor and she says that Richard and Peter deal with complaints and she cant help. My issue is 1. They are referring a conman to innocent victims wanting to renovate their house 2. They could continuosly contact asking how much I paid H2o group so that they could ensure to get their cut of the quote but now that I have complained...theres silence
I was looking for a reputable construction company to renovate my home and through Dial a contractor, I was put in touch with Dustin Emile Permall from H2o construction. (Unit 1, The Reserve 2 c/o Kruis Road &, Capricorn Way, Brackenfell, Cape Town, 7560) We met in November 2018, Dustin promised to get my plans approved by council within 30 days and then we could start building immediately. We were told that they offer the full package of architects, engineers, interior designers all at a reduced cost.We gave him a budget and signed a contract in January 2019. Dustin then advised me that I needed to pay a deposit (35% of the total build cost). I obliged and paid him over 300k. We met with the architect/interior designer and proposed design was presented in 3D. We were very impressed and the plans were submitted to council mid March 2019. The 30 days came and went and eventually the plans were approved at the beginning of June 2019. We were told that the project would take 20 weeks and we were provided with a detailed schedule of works and we gave them a deadline of 12 September 2019 which they said they would be comfortably meet. They started digging foundations at the end of May 2019 just before the plans were approved and it all went down hill from there. What followed were many months of not pitching up, nothing being done on site, then when I complain then they come for 2 or 3 days and dissapear again. In this time, more money was requested. In total we paid Dustin Permall from H20 group R530 000. We were building a double story, he sent me videos of my slab being cast at Topfloor and told me that it was almost done...that was followed by poor excuses as to why there was a delay in my slab being delivered. Eventually I contacted Topfloor directly and they advised that they never recieved an order for my slab and Dustin was in their factory taking videos of other clients slabs and pretending that it was mine. Dustin is a very good liar and for months on end, he came up with brilliant legit sounding excuses as to why my building was being delayed. Long story short, 5 months into the project, they did minimal work after I paid R530 000 to them.ninaas met with constant excuses and when they sent a team of people to work on my site, they built walls scew, cut corners to save on costs and half the time, he guys were waiting around for materials that never pitched because they were never ordered and paid for. I got a quantity surveyor in and they valued the work done to date at just over R100 000. I gave Dustin R530 000 and he cant account for what he did with the rest of my money and still wanted me to pay more money to him to continue the work. Dont use this company, they have a good pitch, they usually quote well under other quotes that you recieve. They will then encourage you to sign a contract, there after, will hound you for money and do little work to show for the money that you paid them. Dustin will come up with a million excuses as to why there is a delay and never actually get the work done. He will blatantly lie to you and when you present him with evidence that he lied then he gets upset. Weve had to cancel the contract and get another contractor in to finish our building. They have had to redo a lot of the work done by H20 group as low cost labour was used and sub standard work was done. The new construction company has done more work in 4 weeks than Dustin has done in 5 months. Beware of this company. You will regret using them and I know of many other individuals affected with the same modus operandi and they are in the same situation.
