We have a business cheque account with FNB , and a business home loan for the business for over 13 years. The cheque and savings account are fine for now, but I have moved the capital to other accounts to be safe as FNB is doing ********* account trickery! The home loan has been "blocked" for some unknown reason, as the person who assisted me on the phone (afrter the brach couldn't) told me it "seems" that the tax number and insurance policies that need updating. I sent these to pleasehelpme@fnb.co.za and NO RESPONSE (I get read receipts!!) Yet it remains inaccessible for us to retrieve any excess fund. After 13 years of having this home loan that has excess funds in it, FNB decides it would be great to do this at Financial year end with NO WARNING, no email or call, NOTHING! Please unblock the account, and show some respect towards your long-term clients.

Thank you ABSA for 18 years of business partnership. You have been the best bank so far, and is highly recommended to everyone I know who wants to open a business account and home loan. Easy and efficient online, and offline. Our personal bankers are very helpful.
Thank you for your great service, always happy with the service, unlike your incompetent turquoise competitor, the Tony of all banks. Can your IT people please check your online banking, we cannot access the IT3 tax certificates. It returns "This service is currently unavailable. Please try again later, while we investigate" This has been going on for weeks and IT3 time is here.
FNB must be the mentally ill bank of all banks in South Africa. I have dealt with many banks in my lifetime, but at no time have I EVER experience the FNB experience, it is just that bad! Even though one payment was reported by a rough customer as" fraud", and has been proven to be FALSE, with Proof of delivery submitted to FNB, which took place in less than 24 hours of payment and SIGNED CLEARLY by the same customer. Yes, with FNB you are guilty until proven innocent it seems! What is worse is that our account had a Million or Two going through it, and yet they blocked our ENTIRE business account at month end (I mean EVERYTHING! Home loan, investments) - for ONE SINGLE trivial amount - when taken in the whole scope of things. Our account was eventually unblocked after "case closed', but the amount paid by the customer is STILL not cleared! My advice from my personal experience, choose another bank when starting your business or when applying for a property loan.
Once again FNB has proven it is the worst bank we have EVER dealt with! EVER! We have accounts with the major banks, but at no time has the other banks given us so much HELL as FNB! FNB blocked our business account for "fraudulent" activity which is NOT fraudulent. We have had hundreds of transactions on our account without a single incident, but out of the blue, we got one transaction from a client block our account. The worst part - this is now AT MONTH END! Initially, we struggled to get this cheque account open to make it easier to move excess funds into and out of the Home Loan, which is a near impossible mission without a cheque account) it isn't as if they were in any rush to do it! After we called, and got redirected, and called, and redirected again, and called to get to the right person! And it took two tries because they didn't bother sending me all the forms either on their first attempt! FNB = HELL!
I keep receiving email after email provoking me to write a complaint, and so here it is!. Why should a complainers website provoke someone to write more complaints? Money? Oh yes, it must be about the money because I ma pretty sure that companies pay lots of cash to defend themselves, no matter the level of truth or lies. HellPeter is a Biased site. The majority of complainers on here complain about everything and anything, simply feeling entitled. The minority are those who have reached the end of their patience. As for the 99.999% of happy customers... we never write compliments, very sad indeed.
REF: 1126311 Called FNB at 9 today. It is 10:30 and they have been putting me through from one person to the next, to a mangerm, back to a useless call centre person who needs my card number and pin! on a home loan! It is impossible to get anyone to help me. Department is as follow: Hone loan - business - Private client! I regret getting a home loan at FNB - ABSA is quick and easy-15 minutes for ABSA- 1.5 hr at FNB and still no help! I'm still holding so ?I don't even know if I will get this sorted today. I am holding for a manger, but after such a long time, a hellopeter compliant will HOPEFULLY prevent other businesses getting a FNB HOME LOAN!
