This is a copy of the mail sent to the management What a total disgrace of a offering 1. When we got to reception there was only proof of one payment when all had been paid - proof sent but there was no record - the first question we were asked was where are your payments ! Had to immediately prove we had paid in full 2. Get to the unit and the windows/doors that look onto the patio and grounds where covered with sand blasted vynil and there was a broken key for the door and a padlock which we unlocked and had to push the doors open to find ourselves looking at a filthy deck and a broken deck eaten by rain or ants No outside seating that we could sit on the deck and enjoy the view We smoke cigarettes- no ashtray on the patio so we used a cup as we are not rude and throw butts into the garden 2- We asked the housekeeper to please bring some additional blankets as the bedding was not adequate for a cold night - she brought the additional blankets which was fantastic I asked her why the external patio door was as it was and was told that we were not ALLOWED to use the patio ? Excuse me , we bought a totally overpriced unit at a FOUR STAR accommodation! ( BTW I will be reporting you on this all because you should not have one star to the accommodation tribunal-( I too am In this game and I understand it completely) Your housekeeper was also next level rude and kept telling me to take my views up with management which I tried to do the next morning 4. The most disgusting brown worn out decoration ***** on the table 5. A kettle on the fridge with the cord so short that in order to pour into the cup one had to almost go on one’s knees to pour the boiling water into the cup - you should also have a pot of available water that one does not have to walk to the bathroom to awkwardly fill the kettle with water 6. The Nescafé coffee in the sachet was old and hard 7. Following morning we had the pleasure of meeting the male manager - who promptly told us we have to be out by 10 - I appreciate that it was 10-30 and was under the illusion your check out time was 11 when breakfast was over - our mistake 8. I tried to engage this manager about our experience- he hurried us up and said he would speak to us about our issues over coffee in the restaurant These matters needed speaking about in the moment - not over coffee later. (we left without seeing the manager) As mentioned, I am in this same game and I bend over backwards for my guests. 9. What a poor show for a place under new management 10. Swimming Pool was green 11. Wood piles visible in the garden - what a mess 12. Remove your board that says four stars because believe me I am taking your lie further !!! Shocking experience You don’t deserve the business. HelloPeter will also be getting a review on this. You should offer us a full refund!
I called Hydro Rubber Randburg to come and waterproof various areas of my roof as the water was pouring in to the house The entrance hall ceiling had opened up and buckled from last years rains I finally had the R10500-00 together after 6 months and called Inez in to do the Waterproofing The job that he did looked absolutely spectacular and my roof looks absolutely beautiful I totally honoured Inez amd his team for an incredible job done The job was completed and then the first rains came about 3 weeks ago - what’s the first thing that happens - all 3 areas that Inez worked on poured into the house - I was devastated I called up Inez who come out and very promptly told me that he can’t do much because the leaks must be coming from somewhere else and he did what I asked him to do To this I stated that he is the person that was called in to do the repair and it was his job to find the leaks - not mine I could not possibly find these leaks as I can’t go on the roof I am not the expert and the task that he was employed to do which was finding the leaks and sorting them out was not done It is now almost 4 weeks later and this man has done everything to throw it back at me and blame me I am amazed and horrified Is it my job to find the leak on the roof or was it his job to find the leaks I told him he should have a done a flood test / to this he stated we would have to use liters of water - so what ! I need those leaks fixed What a sad situation me as I was truly very happy with his service but it has turned into an ugly mess with this man taking total advantage of his position
