I have been waiting for almost a month for an incorrect order to be solved. I placed an order online for glassware, and they sent me the incorrect products. I have asked them to collect the incorrect items and send me the correct ones. I have had NO luck. I even went in store to see if someone could help me, she forwarded my mail, but NO ONE has been able to assist me. I haven't heard from them in a week again, surely they have open tickets that they cannot close until resolved? I am appalled at the service (or lack of service) received. I had ordered the items for a shoot, which has now long passed.
A complete scam "selling" Apple products. Just takes your money and you never get your products. I was also stupid and didn't trust my gut. His IG profile has comments turned off, and of course he had an answer for that, and every other question I asked that seemed off. Eventually I paid and when I asked about tracking I got several different responses. After some time I went back to a screenshot and saw a number that was cut off, messaged the guy who confirmed it was a scam. So now I've reported it as fraud to the bank and will open up a police case. I'm not sure if I'll get my money back, but hopefully this review helps someone else not get caught out (and be as stupid as I was).
I ordered 6 chopping boards from Takealot for Christmas gifts. I had designed a special engraving for the boards for my family as their gifts this year. I got the boards delivered directly to the engraver because of time constraints, he is going on leave tomorrow. The boards arrived and he did what he needed to, once he was done, he sent me photos. I was horrified to see that the boards that he had engraved were NOT the boards that I had ordered. They were some cheap, flimsy Chinese bamboo boards, than if I was ordering and paying R50 for them, I wouldn't have expected much more. BUT THESE ARE NOT THE BOARDS I ORDERED, far from them. But now, they have already been engraved. I contacted Takealot to tell them about it and ask them how they plan on fixing the issue because I refuse to pay for that they had delivered, and now, in total, with engraving, I have wasted R2000.00 on Christmas gifts that I cannot use. I called the call centre again this morning to see if using a difference channel to their social media would work, I WAS IN TEARS THE ENTIRE CALL. I spent to much time and thought on these gifts and I am distraught at the lack of customer care, or responsibility to the complete ***** up from their side. I have sent them photos of the different boards, the ones I was meant to get don't have handles, the ones I received have got hideous silver handles. They told me on our Facebook conversation that a return would be rejected because of USER DAMAGE! WHERE IN YOUR LIFE??? And not only to mention they probably won't reimburse me for the engraving money I spent either. Now I don't have gifts for my family for Christmas and I have wasted R2000.00 because of FALSE ADVERTISING from Takealot and negligence from them and their suppliers. Thank you for making this one of the most unpleasant purchases of my life and for completely ruining my gifts Takealot! You guys are definitely NOT spreading the Christmas cheer. This has left such a bad taste in my mouth, I'm not sure I will ever purchase from them again.
