My sister was involved in car accident in Vryheid on the 27th December2024.The agent /customer service who was assisting her asked for pictures of the damaged side and he concluded that it will cost R35 000 and therefore Miway will not cover that and they cannot repair her car .The question is how does one make such a recommendation without sending the car into an assessment centre for them to look the damage,draft a report and then quote? So you mean MiWay agents look at pics and then estimate cost?They play all roles?Agents,assessor and panel beaters?This is the reason why I tell any MiWay agent where to get off when they call to try and sell their services. I was denied repairs to a burst geyser in 2018 and I vowed that I will never associate myself with an insurer that takes money and gives a million excuses when it’s time to repair or cover the costs. I do not recommend MiWay at all this is absurd.Where are the assessment centres affiliated with MiWay around Durban?Why are you not sending your client there first before making a decision not to repair?
The Brokesure insurance brokers don’t even deserve a star. We have a blocked drain that is bringing in toxic fumes into the house. The matters was referred to them 3 days ago and we allocated a man who came to assess the matter carrying a rod.No tools,nothing says that he is plumber and he didn’t even introduce himself when he walked into the house. He assessed and his suggested that we get specialised machinery to unblock the drain.I have made over 15 calls trying to resolve the issue and we are on day 3 and no solution. The broker emergency is hopeless and of no assistance.I resorted to saying that I will pay for my own repairs and they referred me to plumbers who didn’t show up the whole day. Standard Bank was a pathetic insurance provider but brokesure seems to take the cake.From better to worse. This is our first 6 months with the service provider and I cannot begin to think of a forever after relationship with them. This is unacceptable and the fumes can make us sick.
I changed my insurance from Budget to Naked Insurance a year ago but budget is still charging me for a warranty. I called a few months back to cancel but I am still getting debited. On the first of the month R97.54 was taken from my account and I reported. Today(10/08/2022) another debit for R194 came through. Haybo this is a scam!!!
