Yet again, after ordering from Takealot, delivery does not take place when they say it would. The order ha been showing as "the order is out for collection" since the 28th. It was not delivered on the 28th as promised. Today is 31st (almost 15:00) and the order has STILL not arrived! When phoning Takalot, all they say is that the order is out for delivery and that it "should be delivered before 17:00". I really getting tired of their excuses!! My order in December was delivered 7 days after the said it would be, and when it eventually arrived, the packaging was damaged and 1 of the two items I order was the wrong product!
iTech refuses to understand that I will NEVER in my life make use of their service EVER again!! I have been getting calls from them "to come and see me so they can talk to me about my phone system and printing solutions". I am not interested! I have had clients that made use of iTech in the past and most of them moved on to better service providers. I have made it VERY clear that I do no plan on EVER doing any business with them again, still they keep phoning me, weekly. In the past week I have had 5 calls from 3 different people at iTech trying to get me to commit on a meeting. I have asked MANY times that they PLEASE stop calling me, but they just keep on phoning ... Is there anywhere where I can report them ?? This is really getting out of hand!!!
We recently purchased quite a bit of security equipment from HiTek Security. Their sales department is very efficient and friendly and I was frequently kept up to date with my order since they had to move stock between branches to ensure my order was met quickly. I had some queries after we collected the stock and the queries were handled extremely fast and efficient. I would like to share the extremely pleasant experience I recently had with Visual Exposure in Pretoria. We wanted to have Perspex boards custom cut and I was put into contact with the owner of Visual Exposure. From the start, they were extremely efficient and provided me with friendly service and very valuable advice. I provided them with the CAD file of the boards we required, delivered the blanks from which they had to cut the boards and within two days was notified that the boards are ready for collection. I had a quick tour of the facility and I must say, it's extremely impressive what these guys can do. Their machines are state of the art and judging by the end product, their staff are well trained to get the best from these machines. As the IT Manager of our company, I was in need of a high end laptop and decided to invest in a Dell G5 15 5590 Laptop. A week after receiving this laptop one of the key came off the laptop. Since Dell offers an on-site support service, I made use of this and logged a call for the replacement of the laptop keyboard. This service stipulates that for business use, the guarantee that an engineer will be on site in 1-2 business days. The original support ticket was submitted on the Monday 17th of February 2020. I was contacted and notified that the engineer will be on site on Tuesday 18 February 2020. This never happened. On Wednesday I inquired and was told they made a mistake by thinking my office is in a different part of Guateng, even though submitted Google Co-ordinates as well as 'n Google Maps pin drop in the email. Thursday and Friday came and went and although we had calls from the Dell ensuring the engineer will be on site, he never arrived. Monday came and went and still no engineer was on site. Today is Tuesday the 25th February 2020. Again we had a call stating the engineer is on his way, 4 hours later and yet no engineer is on site. I have decided to not buy any new Dell products in future since their on site support does not mean anything. I was also told that a manager will contact me after escalating the matter, and nobody has called to give me any kind of indication of what caused the delay.
Takealot messed up all my Xmas orders this year. My First order also had an item that was canceled due to "no stock". This item however very difficult to source since its a specialty item very few suppliers carry. I then found an identical unit but had to buy it from another shop so now I sit with credit at Takealot I don't want to use. Theorder was on the 15th of December and should have arrived yesterday but didn't. Now it's supposed to arrive today but t hasn't yet. One my Second order they canceled another one of the items after I paid for the full order, again due to "not having this item in stock any more". I don't understand how this can happen since all the items showed as being in stock an available in JHB and CTN. I then had to buy a similar product that was more expensive and pay for the extra. Then, after placing this order on the 17th of December, they informed me that it will only be delivered on the 31st of December, which is absurd since Xmas was 2 weeks away at that point and delivering it after Xmas just would not cut it. After I had to yell at a couple of people at Takelot (which is a mission on its own since they don't answer they phones) the order from the 17Th got delivered today. Two of the boxes are not packed in Takalot boxes, but was straight retail packaging that got shipped and both these item's packaging is damaged. Both these items are gifts so am I supposed to give damaged boxes to my family?? Way to go Takealot !!! I'll use my credit in the new year and close my account ! I don't care what specials they run, I wont buy from them ever again !
