We recently purchased quite a bit of security equipment from HiTek Security. Their sales department is very efficient and friendly and I was frequently kept up to date with my order since they had to move stock between branches to ensure my order was met quickly. I had some queries after we collected the stock and the queries were handled extremely fast and efficient. I am so annoyed with Hitek Centurion that calls a person 14 times in a matter of an hour harassing a person for sales.... Then when I take the call Hannelie insists it's protocol because they need to know if we are buying our supplies some place else... What the flip does it have to do with anybody but us as a business whom we buy from, when you have a sales CASH account like with Hitek we don't need to explain our moves to anyone, and the attitude is revolting, this in itself has now shown their desperation and we will definitely buy at other suppliers that don't harass a person, 16 calls yesterday on our private phones as well as our landlines and 14 calls today on my husband's phone and our landline as I have actually blocked them from my cellphone. Pathetic!!

We have been a customer of Hitek Security for a while. During December 2018 we ordered some CCTV security cameras from Hitek security, the order was incomplete and they stated the missing item is on back order. In January 2018 we cancelled the item on back order as we sourced it somewhere else. The new salesman that took over from the original salesman has never gotten back to us on any of our queries, the sales manager was cc'd in numerous email for a credit for the item and she has also not replied back to us. CC'ing the CEO in the emails was also fruitless. If this is the customer service Hitek Security provides us as a reseller of there products we cannot sell or recommend any of their products to any of our customers!

During December 2018 we ordered some CCTV security cameras from Hitek security, the order was incomplete and they stated the missing item is on back order. In January 2018 we cancelled the item on back order as we sourced it somewhere else. Bought 13 outdoor vandal proof fingerprint readers from Hitek Security on 28 November 2017. My client complained that 3 units is not working in September 2018. Took it in to Hitek - Justin technician will have a look and come back to me. Week later, still no response, so I phoned in. Spoke to Chantel (manager). She followed up, Justin said the inside of the unit is completely corroded. They do not have any stock to replace them, and anyhow (according to Justin's advice) the same thing will happen again. Chantel agreed to rather refund me. Had to follow up a week later on refund, once I received it I noticed that it is 30% less than what I paid for units. When followed up with Maritsa (Accounts) she said I was charged for 10% handling fee. When I complained that 30% is deducted and not 10 % I had to spoke to owner (Clyde). According to Clyde they only paid out to the value of the remaining gaurantee period (which is 3 years) and which according to him is completely acceptable and their company policy. I feel it is dishonest and they should refund the full amount paid for faulty product still under gaurantee. Be careful when doing business with Hitek Security as this policy is not on their sales orders they send, nor on their invoices or credit notes....
