We live very far from any big town or major center, so internet options are very limited. We have been using this company for more than a year now and since day one we have been struggling with them. We pay quite a bit of money every month for 10mbs but most of the time we are lucky if we get even half that speed, some days we have to be happy with a third of that speed. Just about every day I have to reset the system just to be able to get online. It is so bad that I can't even link 2 security cameras to the wifi. What makes it worse is that we operate a small lodge and regularly have to try and explain to clients why the internet is not working. Every time I contact them, I have to waste hours of my time with them on the phone, answering the same questions and running the same tests and it's always the same excuses, but no matter how many times I ask, they refuse to arrange for a technician to come to me and properly check the system. They would rather try and convince you to double your speed package (at double the price of course), which my neighbors did and they are now having even more problems. They simply don't care about their customers, especially out here because they know we don't really have any choice.
There should be an option to give less than a star or a minus star for Telkom. It is so incredibly frustrating to deal with them an to try and sort out a problem. Years ago I closed an account with them only to find out a few months ago that the account was never closed and the monthly payment just kept on piling up. Of course there is no arguing with them so I paid it and again asked them to make sure the account is closed, nope, a few months down the line my home account gets suspended because of non payments on this stupid account that is still not closed! Now I am away on leave and there is no internet at my house for my security system. How nice is that?! Thanks Telkom, you suc****!
